Insane turns and twists of the mainstream COVID narrative

When the COVID pandemic hit, the mainstream establishment touted he virus as a deadly threat. We were told that lockdowns and masks were the only option we had, until a vaccine became available. Of course, well known researchers and experts were skeptical of, or outright opposed to that course of action, but the scientific, political and media mainstream either ignored them or labeled them "cooks" and "science deniers". Then a vaccine came out, or, rather, several vaccines. We were told they were "safe and effective". We were told they stop the transmission of the virus and prevent one from getting sick and possibly dying from the virus. And then the reality hit.

And that reality ended up being a bit different from what we were told to expect. Most vaccinated areas ended up being COVID hotspots. Massive injuries and some deaths were observed in people who had recently gotten a jab - oftentimes, in people who were perfectly healthy prior to the jab. And that data could no longer be involved.

So we are told now by the mainstream that the vaccinated suffer these side effects, hypothetically, due to the stress caused by the evil "antivaxxers". No, this is not a joke. The link is below. The researcher, one Raymond D Palmer, an Australian biotech engineer, opines that, since stress can cause myocarditis, a common vaccine side effect, as well as some other side effects commonly observed after the vaccination, then it must be stress, not vaccines. I bet if he were to opine on the subject of tobacco smoking he would opine that lung cancer in smokers is caused by the stress caused by hearing of potential harms of smoking from those who believe it to be harmful.

Meanwhile, a Politifact article argues that even though over 50% of those dying of COVID (58% to be precise) are now vaccinated, that is no reason to doubt the efficacy of the vaccines. To quote that article:

The latest data from the Centers for Disease Control shows that the death rate per 100,000 people among unvaccinated people was 1.32 on Sept. 25. By comparison, the rate for people vaccinated but without the updated bivalent booster is 0.26 per 100,000 people. And among those who have received the bivalent shot, it is 0.07 per 100,000 people.

Best I could tell the CDC's rate corresponds to that occurring within a given week. Hence even for the unvaccinated the death rate of 1.32 per 100,000 in a week corresponds to 66 per 100,000 in a year (assuming a year is 52 weeks), or a 0.066% annual mortality rate. Furthermore, according to the same article,

That means people 12 and older who received the updated booster had a 14.9% lower risk of dying from COVID-19 than unvaccinated people, the Centers for Disease Control said.

That is consistent with reports and studies that we've already seen. This falls in line with the idea that the efficacy of these vaccines falls rapidly, almost down to zero within about 6 months. And so for a virus whose lethality is relatively low - and, as is well established, very much skewed towards affecting the old and vulnerable populations.

In light of these newly reported facts do we absolutely have to continue injecting people with an experimental vaccine against an infection that is not much of a threat to most people? A vaccine that only brings with it a 14.9% reduction in one's chance of dying from the virus? I would think not. But, of course, mainstream sources would waste no time in naming people like myself a "conspiracy nut". Which in a way is a badge of honor to me - and which does not negate the fact that this is one more instance where "conspiracy nuts" have been proven right, and it is the mainstream that clings to and promotes a largely illogical and destructive narrative.

And oh, if you are still concerned abut the virus - which is not unreasonable - you may consider doing many things, including nasal irrigation with saline solution which has been clinically shown to decrease severe COVID outcomes as much as 19 times. That, of course, is not he only option - just one of many. It just clearly shows that the whole "get vaccinated or risk death" paradigm is clearly a made-up notion not supported by the facts on the ground.

It is clear that the purveyors of the mainstream narrative don't have facts on their side, and it looks like they know it. Their narrative is on life support, they try to keep it alive. Hopefully, their attempts will be short-lived and result in an utter failure and utter humiliation of everyone who has chosen to deliberately create and sustain the great deception around many aspects of this pandemic.
