We live in a modern era of fast food, medication, vaccines, smartphones, social media, luxury condos and "progressive ideas", but has any of it made us happier?
In this article, I am going to argue that the way we are living these days is not congruent with our natural evolution, and as a result we have record levels of anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses.
I also want to talk about the changes we can make to improve the quality of our lives, despite our current technological era and bizarre culture.
Human Evolution
It's important to realize that for most of our evolution we humans lived off the land in small tribes. For hundreds of thousands of years we evolved hunting & gathering natural foods with our fellow tribesmen, exposing ourselves to the elements, and resolving our differences via in-person communication.
It wasn't until the agricultural revolution of about 10,000 years ago that we transitioned to living on farms, and began to slowly isolate ourselves from our fellow tribesmen.
The shock on our biology was much more powerful when we migrated into factory cities a few hundred years ago, where new technology further isolated us from one another and altered how we live and communicate. In just the last century alone our biochemistry has been introduced to vaccines, GMOs, and mRNA gene therapy.
We must consider the negative impact this technology is having on our physiology and psychology, which adapted over millions of years under totally different circumstances.
In this modern age we are being born and raised into environments that our biology has had very little time to adapt to. Expecting humans to function well in today's world is almost like taking a fish out of the ocean and expecting it to walk on land.
Processed vs Natural Foods
Have you ever read the long list of ingredients on a box of cereal, package of cookies, or other processed food item?
We have agencies like the FDA assuring us that all the ingredients are safe, but how do we know for sure that these artificial additives aren't having a negative impact on our bodies and minds, especially when the FDA is influenced by for-profit corporations?
Consider too the pesticides and herbicides that are sprayed on our fruits and vegetables, the hormones that are injected into our livestock, and the genetic modifications of plants and animals that happen in corporate R&D labs.
Humans were not exposed to any of these alterations to their food supply up until about a century ago. It would be naive to think that all these chemicals and mutations are not having some impact on our physical and mental health.
Artificial Medicine and Vaccines
Have you been feeling sad, depressed, or anxious? Instead of asking you about your diet, exercise regime, and sleeping schedule, your doctor will probably prescribe to you a cocktail of "safe and effective" modern pharmaceutical drugs to combat your mental illness.
We also want our kids to be safe from every disease under the sun, so children have been receiving an increasing number of vaccines each decade that passes, and it seems to correlate with the elevated rates of autism we are seeing in the youth.
Despite evidence of potential harm in traditional vaccines, the WEF and WHO want to take it a step further and mandate all of us to take mRNA gene therapy shots in order to "vaccinate" us against pathogens. But what are the ramifications?
For now we have seen blood clotting, myocarditis, nervous system failure, turbo cancers, brain fog and a number of other terrible side effects.
Gender Role Reversal
Throughout human history women have evolved to depend on strong men for resources and protection. In this modern age however, girls in the West are being brainwashed by the media and society to believe they can survive alone as an independent woman.
As social media and dating apps raise women's standards, we now have a growing number of single and childless woman over the age of 40 who are regretting the decision to chase a career instead of follow the leadership of a strong man and raise a family.
Could this be the reason anti-depressant usage is skyrocketing, especially among older women?
Communication with Smartphones vs In Person
For the majority of our evolution we had to express our emotions and resolve our differences in person. These days with modern technology we are glued to our tablets and smartphones, and we talk with each other mostly electronically, causing further isolation.
Also, thanks to social media, we have become more narcissist. In the past we knew our humble place in society, but now we want attention and validation from strangers on the Internet. Each new like and follower is a dopamine rush that continually boosts our egos and reduces our humility.
LGBTQ2+ Agenda
Instead of identifying the root cause of their depression as a modern world that has disconnected itself from natural living, many people think that changing their sexuality or gender is the solution to their unhappiness.
What was once forbidden in society has become tolerated. Not much later it started to be celebrated, and now this unnatural lifestyle is actually being pushed on children via gay pride parades and drag queen shows.
The people who still live off the land in tribes recognize what this woke culture is - a mental disorder.
Living Inside Concrete Boxes vs Nature
Our ancient ancestors spent most of their days under the Sun, constantly exposed to wildlife and the elements. However, thanks to modern accommodation we have less gratitude for the wilderness that sustains us, and we feel a sense of disconnection.
Our living quarters have also isolated us from our tribesmen and neighbors. You may visit them once a week, if you're lucky. These days a lot of people don't even know who's living beside them in their adjacent condo unit.
Are We Any Happier?
It's so ironic because the supposed purpose of all this enhanced food, artificial medication, "societal progress", and technology was to make our lives better. But at the end of the day we end up feeling more anxious, lonely, and depressed.
In order to live more peaceful, content, and happy lives we need to take into consideration the circumstances under which we evolved for hundreds of thousands of years. That means spending more time in nature, eating natural foods, filling our natural roles in society, and interacting with our tribesmen in real life.
