The term happiness differs with each person, some people derive their own happiness by staying at home watching movies or listening to music while some see it as boredom and would rather party out with friends...
The old would love the old ways while the modern kids would love the new ways because you can't miss the life you never lived but how about people who have tasted both the old and modern life? they fall in the middle of everything and different situations would make them think one life is better than the other....
In the olden days, before the existence of technology, man power is needed to survive, our forefathers main occupation was farming and they had to do this in the sun, they trek miles everyday to get to their farms, their children was born into this life and they also join them in doing it, this is not something any modern kids would be interested in because i term it as sufferness working from morning till night in the sun....
They also don't know what is going on around the world, they only know about their village and other villages surrounding them, i don't know if this is a blessing because atleast they won't get to hear of the bad things happening round the world but they lack knowledge and this is why their lands were being taken from them with little things like mirror e.t.c...
One good thing about their life is that they do not have access to toxic foods we are eating now, which helps them to live longer than a normal youth of now, you would see them live over 100 years but now most people die before 80 because our body is not as healthy as we think, thanks to the junk foods, killer drinks we have ....
I would always prefer the modern life, it has everything i dreamt of....
EASY LIFE
I have access to technologies, there are electric cooker and gas cooker to cook food, no stress of using firewood to cook, i have done that before and i know how hard it is, you have to blow air to the fire if you want your food to be ready as fast as possible and the smokes coming from that affect the eyes and also cause running nose.... I don't wish such life for anyone.....
WORKING FROM HOME
One of my wish was working from home without having to bear the heat of the hot sun, the old life can't provide me with this, if it was in the old life i won't be sitting writing a post at this time, probably i would be on my way to the farm, early bed catches the early worm they say....
KNOWLEDGE
The old life without technology limit the knowledge of our fore fathers, they don't know about other countries and people but technology made us one... Now we interact with people from different race easily now and we have become best friends with some.. that is one advantage of modern life...
Maybe our forefathers would have prefer the modern life too if only they get to taste it......
