Dreams most times never turn to reality. I can remember most nights that I slept throughout the night without having any dreams. I once had a discussion with my friends about dreams. During the discussion, we were trying to air out our views on how dreams come about. Some of my friends said dreams come from God, some said dreams come from the spirits of sleep but my view then was that dreams come from what we have stored in our memories(brains). We argued and ended up with no final agreement on the cause of dreams. We didn't do any research, we were just trying to keep up the chat.
I love to watch action movies, wrestling and horror movies. I watched horror movies because my sister too loved it. My sister and I love horror movies because of the suspense often created by the haunting spirits or humans. Anytime I watched these types of movies, I used to have weird dreams.
I remember the day I visited one of my best friends, Equinox and we had a lot of fun, from swimming in the pool to eating and finally watching a movie. The movie we watched is this popular Jackie Shang movie, "Ride On". The movie was about the relationship between Jackie Shang, his horse and the organization he got the horse from. The movie has a lot of action and Kung Fu scenes.
After watching this movie and I returned home while sleeping, I dreamed of myself being attacked by some angry mobs. I didn't run in the dream, rather I fought back using some Kung Fu skills such as running on the ceiling with my head upside down, powerful kicks and punches. I exhibited skills that I know will never happen with my small legs and hands that when folded could enter a baby's mouth.

When I woke up, I thought I still had these skills but not until I realized I was now in the real world. Later in the day, I happily walked up to my brother to tell him of the sweetest dream of my life, how I wasted hundreds of enemies who attacked me with my powerful kicks and punches. My brother snubbed me and walked away. I knew something must have annoyed him, so I didn't let him go. I ran to him and asked him why he was behaving that way. His reply came to me like a bombshell, he told me that I didn't let him sleep in the night. He said that all the kicking and punching I was delivering on the mobs in my dream were all on him in the real world. He said I kicked him several times and that he had to leave the mattress for me alone to sleep on.
That was one of my dreams after watching action movies. I had a lot of others. One night, my sister sat in the parlor watching her horror movie. Since I didn't have any tests to prepare for, I decided to join in her movie night. The movie she was watching was "Annabelle's Creation." One of the most horror movies I have ever come across. The movie was all about Annabelle's family and a group of girls that visited the family. Annabelle haunted them till she was captured and seized.
After watching this movie, I had a very serious nightmare. From all I could recall, it was more like I joined a group of girls running from an unknown havoc. Since I saw them running in a particular direction, I joined them not even knowing what was chasing after them. The mysterious part of the dream was that during the run, I was the slowest. It was more like a force or strong wind was pulling me backward. When I realized that the girls had outran me, I found a place and hid myself. I was able to maneuver myself to the last floor of a-story building nearby. Surprisingly, it seemed I was going to meet the possessed girl the crowd was running from. When I entered one of the rooms on the last floor I saw the possessed girl and she attacked me immediately. I knew running wasn't the best option so I jumped off from the balcony. While still flying down thoughts of escape and death were running through my mind but as my feet almost touched the ground, I woke up immediately, breathing heavily.

This is why I strongly argued with myself that dreams are a result of what we think or what we store in our memories. Most times I used to have issues such as heart pain, and throat pain especially when I dream of myself dining with unknown kings and guests.
About action movies and action dreams, I used to imagine myself bringing such powerful skills to real life. I used to imagine myself possessing those skills and that girl coming to haunt me again, and how I would fight back. But I know those are all dreams that never turn into reality.
