I recently embarked on a 30-day challenge to build habits that would genuinely improve my daily life. Some of these habits were tough to get used to, but I’m happy to say they made a huge difference. Here’s what I learned and how you can try them too:
Morning Journaling
I used to think journaling was just about jotting down thoughts, but it became a powerful way to set my intentions for the day. I spend 5 minutes every morning writing down three goals and one thing I'm grateful for. It’s surprising how such a small act can set a positive tone for the day.The 5-Minute Declutter
I used to hate cleaning, but dedicating just five minutes each day to tidying up a small part of my space (desk, kitchen counter, etc.) made a huge impact. Having a clutter-free environment feels like a mental refresh.Walking 10 Minutes After Meals
Instead of plopping down after meals, I started taking short 10-minute walks. This one’s a game-changer. Not only does it help with digestion, but it gives me a chance to clear my head and relax.Limiting Screen Time After 8 PM
I decided to limit my phone usage after 8 PM, and it did wonders for my sleep. Instead, I read or listen to relaxing music, and it’s made such a difference. My mornings are way more productive now!Connecting With One Person Each Day
Whether it’s a friend, family member, or even a colleague, I make it a point to check in with one person daily. It’s a small way to stay connected, and I’ve found it adds a lot of warmth and depth to my relationships.
Try these out for a month and see how you feel! These small changes aren’t time-consuming but made me feel more grounded, positive, and energized.
