If you live in the mountains in a tropical country there is always a threat of rain. Every now and then it doesn't actually rain though and you just end up with these really cool cloud filled areas. It's rare, because normally it will rain, but when this does happen we like to take advantage of it and be sure to take photos!
when we do a Hash event and it looks like this we are always afraid of intense rain but sometimes we get lucky and that never happens. Sometimes we end up with some lovely clouds and that is all. Such as it was on this day.

The sun couldn't break through but neither did the rain and this meant that the entire run was a lot cooler than it normally would be. But let's not kid ourselves, this is still the Thailand summer so it was still extremely hot.! This is one thing that never really changes about Chiang Mai outside of the evenings between December and around February. It is very very hot here and it is very rare that you will ever feel cold other than at night. Now we are approaching the dead center of summer and things are going to be blazing almost every time. Once we cross over into August then we have the fun aspect of needing to be concerned about monsoon rains all the time. It doesn't seem like a great place to have a running club but somehow we manage!
