There are things we believed but changes due what we experience everyday as we live on.
One of my most believes back then is keeping virginity till weeding night. Oh, the way I was brought up,you know Christian home, teachings and all. My mother will tell me the benefits of keeping ones virginity till weeding night, the girl will be forever respected, will gain her husband trust. She told me any prayers of such person will be easily answered and all that, if you see me arguing with people then about this topic ,you will think I have been promised forever life based on it, I really took it personally that I became to judge people as well .
But as I grow and experience life more, I got to find out it's a lie, I don't know if it all works during my mother's time then but not anymore because I have seen ladies who kept their virginity till their weeding night and still get abused by their husband and got divorced a year after and i have seen ladies who was not a virgin on knowing their husband and their husband cherish them to the moon.
I got to realize that keeping virginity isn't to get a perfect man for yourself, it's just all about keeping your dignity, it's doesn't defy you of good life , opportunities or not.
In this era we are in now, I would advise any lady to know the sex capacity of the man you want to marry , cos I have seen marriages break because the sex, yes, sex!
I hear men complain their wife can't satisfy them and they cheat or decide to marry another wife, while some ladies cheat just because their husband can't satisfy them sexually.
The second one which is the funniest is the fact that I believed I will be relieved of my monthly pains when I finally gave birth. I hear some ladies don't even know what is called menstrual cramps, some will even tell you they crave for sweet things like chocolate and the stuff when they are on and am like even quitting anything sweet a week before my monthly flow comes,I will still be in pain on the arrival. So, I was told that when I eventually give birth,I will feel the pain no more,so, I have been giving myself hope that I won't feel this pain again in some years later but then I watched a video made by taooma ,a Nigeria comedian, she said in that video that what she is about to say is not a comedy but real. She said, she now has a baby and something she has been looking up to that would happen when she gave birth is not happening, that are monthly period still comes with pain and this is not what she was told na.
On watching this video, I felt bad that I have been hoping on a lie. If you do have painful monthly period, this is from me to you 🥰🥰🥰. We are strong 💪💪💪
