How we handle it, how we think about it, and what we do while doing it are all key to making cleaning enjoyable. With a few simple changes, cleaning can shift from being a boring routine to a lively, joyful part of the day.
Playing music is one of the best ways to have fun while cleaning. A good song, especially one with a nice beat, can turn the broom into a dance partner and make the mop move with rhythm. Singing along or dancing as you clean makes the time pass quickly, and you begin to smile without even knowing it.
Another thing that helps is cleaning with others. When family or friends join in, cleaning becomes a shared experience. The pressure is relieved and joy is brought about by laughing, talking, and assisting one another. Even children can be given small tasks even if they don't do them perfectly, their participation adds to the fun and teaches them how to do things in a timely manner.
