The community has vocalized a lot of support for creating a promo card featuring Yabapmatt and we have seen many requests for another Vruz style DAO promo card. While the specific timeline, stats, card art, and possible splinter(s) will all be entirely at the Splinterlands team's discretion, the purpose of this proposal is to both show support for the new CEO @yabapmatt and to reward SPS token stakers while boosting community sentiment.
If this proposal passes, the SPS DAO requests that the Splinterlands team create a limited edition promo card featuring the CEO of Splinterlands: Yabapmatt, which can be based on his existing business card art or something entirely new. The funding mechanism for this event should be similar to the previous Vruz promo and preferably a common or rare card to encourage as much participation as possible. The specifics are of course up the Splinterlands team.
What are the expected outcomes of this proposal?
- The community gets a fun new promo card honoring one of the founders of Splinterlands.
- The community has an opportunity to help burn some of the Voucher supply.
- If the proposal goes well, it could open the door for future promos that could bring more of the Splinterlands team into the game.
- Help to raise community sentiment while creating a fun opportunity to get rewarded for staking SPS.
The individual funding this proposal realizes that this proposal is simply a suggestion and that the proposal passing doesn't guarantee action or a timeline for delivery from the Splinterlands team. The proposal is as much to show support to Matt and the team as it is a sincere request for a new DAO promo card. EDIT on June 2, 2024. To further clarify this proposal, the Splinterlands Team has full discretion to price the promo card in any currency it deems best, including credits. Also the team has the approval from this proposal to keep all funds for their ongoing operations. In other words, all economic decisions regarding this proposal are fully the choice of the Splinterlands Team and not the DAO, and a vote for this proposal is meant to support Matt and the team in any way we can.
