In my world of business, I highly emphasize on the satisfaction and motivation of my team members. The contemporary fast paced life makes job jumping a common thing among people, hence the need to retain competent staff. Consequently, I have been investigating different ways that will allow my team to stay with me for a long term.
Also important is creating a positive work environment. I support an atmosphere where employees know they are important and worthy at all times. This means continuously talking about their performances, recognizing their hard work as well as providing opportunities for growth. Employees who feel valued and supported will maintain their involvement.
The company should also offer competitive compensation and benefits. Though not everything, money matters a lot too. Every so often salaries and benefits are reviewed by me to ensure that they remain competitive in relation to what others offer. Skills development and career progression should be considered important. My encouragement is for the members of my team to grab chances of learning either having workshops or classes. Through investing in these persons’ progress, I exhibit my commitment to their triumph.
Employee recognition is essential for motivation purposes. In this regard, I commemorate every accomplishment (small or big) by either giving public shoutouts or through formal recognition programs. It improves morale thus enhancing loyalty.
