If you, like me, are an active player in Splinterlands, you must have noticed that every Tuesday, there is usually maintenance in the game. Therefore, it is always good to be careful not to leave anything for that moment when the game is down and if a card that you rented and need to renew the rental, it will be impossible to do so. Therefore, keep your rented cards that are important to you away from Tuesdays, that way you avoid unpleasant surprises, right?
As for Survival, the new battle mode, I confess that I haven't played it yet and maybe I won't even try, because I don't have a large collection of cards and much less have enough DEC to sustain the rental of cards that would obviously die and be out of the game for a few days. That would definitely give me a terrible loss. So I usually do my daily battles and also participate in Brawl. It's been a while since I've been participating in Tournaments and it might be hard to get back to them because of the recent update that happened on the 18th.
Inflated and Scarce Cards in the Internal Market
Those who weren't expecting this new update on the 18th took some people by surprise. Now, there is no longer the option to rent cards for at least 2 days. I myself used to rent cards that I was most interested in and would keep them for at least 7 days. That gave me a certain peace of mind. Other legendary cards, because they are more valuable and expensive, I used to rent for 2 or 3 days.
After the change imposed on the game, you will now only be able to rent cards whose period will depend on how many days are left until the season ends. Since we have two seasons per month, you have already noticed that some cards like summoners, in addition to becoming more valuable due to demand, in some cases there are no maximum level cards available and those that do exist are absurdly expensive, causing inflation in the domestic market.
I have no doubt that after these impactful changes in Splinterlands, some players have decided to stop playing. I understand and respect their decision, because based on my financial situation, if someone can't have enough DEC to maintain a competitive deck to stay at least in the Gold I or Diamond II Leagues, it's not worth the investment. Fortunately, I had renewed most of my rentals before Tuesday's big update, but I know some players who didn't do their routine renewals.
In addition, some owners of the rented cards, realizing how much their cards had appreciated, started to cancel the rental and because of that, I ended up losing the rental of maximum level Lorkus. Honestly, I didn't want to get rid of it, because many of the cards I keep for my strategy are precisely because of Lorkus. But time passed and I've overcome this obstacle.
As the days went by, I ended up losing other summoner rentals, but then I had to increase my investment in the game even more. I had no other alternative and I don't have much DEC available, but what I had I was able to reposition myself in the game. Today I'm even managing to maintain a good average of 100 daily SPS playing the battles and this will help me a lot to increase my SPS stake. I even have my goal for the year, which is to reach 15k SPS and today I have a little over 6k SPS in my account.
I know that this major change in the game was necessary to keep Splinterlands on track and I believe that as time goes by, other new features will come and thus be able to add even more to the game. I'm hoping that old players will come back and also attract more new players, because we need new blood. I hope that the cards can have a more "fair" price and I know that everything will depend on supply and demand, so we'll just have to wait and see how things turn out.
What did you think of the new changes in the game? I believe that those who already had a good collection (which is not my case) didn't feel much of a difference, but for those who depend on the internal market to rent cards and be competitive, there were some obstacles ahead. Se você, assim como eu, é um jogador ativo em Splinterlands, deve ter percebido que todas as terças-feiras, geralmente existe uma manutenção no jogo. Por isso, sempre é bom ficar atento para não deixar nada para aquele momento quando o jogo estiver fora do ar e caso uma carta que você alugou e precisaria renovar o aluguel, será impossível fazer isso. Por isso, mantenha suas cartas alugadas que são importantes para você longe das terças, assim evita surpresas desagradáveis, não é mesmo?
Com o Survival, o novo modo de batalha, confesso que ainda não joguei e talvez eu nem tente, pois eu não tenho uma coleção grande de cartas e muito menos tenho DEC suficiente para sustentar o aluguel das cartas que obviamente iriam morrer e ficar de fora do jogo por alguns dias. Isso definitivamente me daria um prejuízo terrível. Então costumo fazer minhas batalhas diárias e também participar do Brawl. Já faz um tempo que eu não estava participando dos Torneios e talvez seja difícil voltar por conta da atualização recente que aconteceu no dia 18.
Cards Inflacionados e Escassos no Mercado Interno
Quem não esperava essa nova atualização do dia 18, pegou algumas pessoas de surpresa. Agora, não existe mais a opção de alugar as cartas por no mínimo 2 dias. Eu mesmo era adepto a alugar cartas que mais me interessavam e colocava por pelo menos 7 dias. Isso já me dava uma certa tranquilidade. Outras cartas lendárias que por serem mais valiosas e caras, eu costumava alugar por 2 ou 3 dias.
Depois da mudança imposta no jogo, você agora só poderá alugar as cartas cujo período irá depender de quantos dias faltam para a temporada encerrar. Como temos duas temporadas por mês, então você já percebeu que algumas cartas como summoners além de ficarem mais valorizadas por conta da procura, em alguns casos não existe disponível cartas de level máximo e os que existem estão absurdamente caros causando uma inflação no mercado interno.
Não tenho dúvidas de que depois dessas mudanças impactantes em Splinterlands, alguns jogadores decidiram parar de jogar. Eu até entendo e respeito a decisão deles, pois me baseio em minha situação financeira, se a pessoa não tem como ter DEC suficiente para manter um deck competitivo para ficar ao menos nas Ligas Ouro I ou Diamante II, não vale a pena o investimento gasto. Felizmente eu tinha renovado boa parte dos meus aluguéis antes da grande atualização de terça, mas conheço alguns jogadores que não fizeram suas renovações rotineiras.
Além disso, alguns donos das cartas alugadas percebendo o quanto que suas cartas valorizaram, começaram a cancelar o aluguel e por conta disso, acabei perdendo o aluguel do Lorkus level máximo. Sinceramente não queria desfazer dele, pois muitas cartas que mantenho para minha estratégia é justamente por conta do Lorkus. Mas o tempo passou e já superei esse obstáculo.
Com o passar dos dias acabei perdendo outros aluguéis de summoners, mas então tive que aumentar ainda mais meu investimento no jogo. Não tive outra alternativa e não tenho muito DEC disponível, mas o que tive eu pude me reposicionar no jogo. Hoje estou conseguindo inclusive manter uma média boa de 100 SPS diários jogando as batalhas e isso vai me ajudar muito a aumentar meu stake de SPS. Inclusive tenho minha meta do ano que é chegar aos 15k SPS e hoje eu tenho um pouco mais de 6k SPS na minha conta.
Sei que essa grande mudança no jogo foi necessário para manter Splinterlands nos trilhos e acredito que com o passar do tempo, outras novidades virão e assim poderão agregar ainda mais no jogo e estou torcendo para que jogadores antigos voltem e também atraia mais novos jogadores, pois estamos precisando de sangue novo. Espero que as cartas possam ter um preço mais "justo" e sei que tudo irá depender da oferta e demanda então, é aguardar os próximos dias e ver como ficarão as coisas.
O que você achou das novas mudanças do jogo? Acredito que quem já tinha uma boa coleção (não é o meu caso), não sentiu muita diferença, mas para quem depende do mercado interno para alugar as cartas e ser competitivo, teve alguns obstáculos pela frente.
