It is that time of the year where when every hiver is busy reviewing the targets they have set in the beginning on the year and checking how far they have come. As for me, I didn’t really set any Hive goal in the beginning of the year, but trust me, I am not making that same mistake next year. I have come to understand the value of the blockchain and grown a lot during the course of the year.
Last month was the first time I ever participated in the hive power up day. I remember how excited I was about it, and it was on that day I decided to never miss the subsequent power up days. Apart from the part that I want to be a part of the growth of hive, another reason I have decided to stay committed to the course is that I have set a goal and I have a target to meet before the year runs out.
As you all know, today, like every other 1st of all the months of the year that has passed, is the hive power up day. Another day to support the community and also move a little closer to your hive goals. This is also the last month of the year 2023 and of course, the last power up day that will come up this year. There are a lot of significant things happening today and I dare not miss being a part of it.
Due to a challenge between myself and @starstrings01, I got to write for a whole week on hive and also engage in between. I really enjoyed doing that and it really taught me some valuable hive lessons. The most prominent of those lessons was a reminder that "engagement is the key on hive". This challenge also helped me to prepare for the hive power up day. I was able to convert some of my earnings to HIVE and the rest, I sent to my savings.

I was able to convert my 3.6 HBD earnings to 10 hive, which I needed in order to participate in the #HPUD.

Right now, this is what my HP looks like after powering up for the month of December (the delegation you are seeing below it was gifted to me by @starstrings01 for a month, as a reward for completing the challenge I mentioned recently).
Thanks to newbies initiative, I was able to set a goal earlier in October when we started, to have a total HP of 500 before the year runs to an end. At this point, I am very positive that I will meet my target. Currently, I am 52.916HP away from meeting that target and I will put in a lot of effort in order to achieve my goal.
After meeting this target, I will set new ones for the year to come, and will definitely make better investment decisions as well.
