I find it fascinating watching a crypto project grow in real time because the stats are mind blowing. COTI launched it's Mainnet three weeks ago and the transaction numbers today breached the 1 million mark and currently stand on 1.288 million for the past 24 hours. As you ca see from the above scree shot yesterday the transaction number was 977K.
The numbers are slowly rising daily and this has only just started with so many blockchains to yet get going. Wait until we see the likes of SOLANA,CHAINLINK,CARDANO plus obviously Ethereum using and adopting the privacy tech COTI V2 offers these daily transaction numbers are going to be in the hundreds of millions.
The fees generated from each transaction is what interests myself as this is what controls the APR being paid to those staking their COTI. The last time I checked the base level APR was at 6.02% and this will rise as COTI transactions rise.
The 1.288m transactions only represent 120 COTI in fees and why patience is needed for now as this new privacy tech rolls out across the various blockchains.
The fees are dirt cheap and why you need hundreds of millions of transactions before you will start to see any real value. 0.0000928 COTI per transaction is in dollar terms 0,000005841c. So you ca see why these daily transaction numbers need to rise before they make a difference to the APR.
The other important part about all of the fees being generated is the COTI that filters back as an APR into the Treasury is bought directly from the exchanges. This helps remove liquid COTI from the market so if you are generating enough fees you could in theory impact the token price.
You may think having hundreds of millions of transactions daily is not feasible. Solana on it's busiest day processed more than 66 million and today is over 26 million, throw in all other DeFi apps/exchanges across the various chains and a hundred million is actually quite small.
We are still so early in crypto is what we hear all the time and it is true because these numbers are still very small. Adoption with crypto crossing into the real world is when we shall see the numbers go parabolic and we are still years away from that unless something changes which could be the privacy tech COTI now offers. Nobody knows, but this will be triggered one day and why we all need to keep accumulating.
