I realize that the above is a fairly vague and nebulous question.
I'm impressed by many different things, from consistent timeliness to exceptional investment returns, to someone following through on what they say they are "going to do."
Promises... and Follow-Through!
One of the things that really does impress me is when someone(s) sets out with an ambitious goal in mind... and then they not only see it through, but they also succeed with their project.
Those two aren't necessarily the same: Many entrepreneurs might follow through as planned, only to discover that their project is not nearly as popular as they had hoped.
Another thing that really impresses me is when I am offered an investment with some potential, and promises of excellent returns and it actually comes to pass, rather than end up in pervasive loss and disappointment.
Oh, and the actual results are not the result of someone "cooking the books" to give the impression that mediocrity can be repackaged as "success."
The Cryptosphere
I find myself thinking about this particular topic as the whole Cryptosphere tends to be rather long on promises and not all that great on follow through.
At least, I'm not terribly impressed, on the whole.
But then again, I suppose it is somewhat to be expected in a relatively new industry where lots of people are trying to capitalize purely on the newness without really having a clue as to what is going to have long term viability.
Interesting to consider just how much time flies.
Just 25 short years ago, it seemed like the whole world was caught up in "Internet Mania." People would start dot-com projects around some very ill-conceived ideas, and investors would pile insane amounts of money into them, based on very little more than a prospectus that included the magic words of the time: "ecommerce" and "web site."
These days, the magic words are "blockchain" and "cryptocurrency."
Impressively LeoFinance
Another thing that really impresses me is when people have a plan, and that plan amounts to something a lot more tangible than a bunch of ideas tossed against the wall to see if anything "sticks."
And yes, I'm perfectly well aware that there are sometimes business of significant success built around an idea and learning the ropes as you go along.
But I daresay that they are a minority!
"Playing the lottery" — figuratively speaking — also does not impress me, especially when I am expected to invest my hard-earned money in something. I don't buy lottery tickets, at the best of times. As the old saying goes: "A lottery is a tax on people who are bad at math!"
These days, I am growing increasingly impressed with LeoFinance... seems like months and years of talk is finally materializing into something tangible; an actual manifestation of something with the potential to have a lot of utility to a fairly widespread audience.
I've had my moments of doubt... but I've also come to better understand that building something viable invariably takes a lot longer than even the most pessimistic estimates. And perhaps one of life's little realities is that if project managers were actually truthful about how long it would take to complete something, most projects would never see the light of day... because Human Beings tend to be a very impatient bunch!
Of course, I'm still watching, while gradually and slowly continuing to build my LEO stake.
But at least I have confidence enough now that I'm going to start converting my liquid HBD rewards to LEO tokens... surely I can do better than be a "Newborn Cub" after almost 2 1/2 years of doing this!
