Les cuento que soy más del estilo “no me quites de la oficina y de la notebook”, sin embargo hay días que necesito despejarme y elijo las manualidades para eso. La creatividad puede expresarse de muchas formas, para mí son los regalos, trato de salirme de lo convencional y aprovecho distintas fechas especiales para obsequiar a las personas que más amo. De hecho me van a ver más seguido por aquí, ¡ya tengo que comenzar a preparar la deco para mi boda!
How are you today? My second entry in this beautiful community. I'm more of a "don't take me away from the office and the notebook" kind of person, however there are days when I need to clear my mind and I choose crafts for that. Creativity can be expressed in many ways, for me it is gifts, I try to go out of the conventional and take advantage of different special dates to give gifts to the people I love the most.
In fact you will see me more often here, I have to start preparing the deco for my wedding!
Hoy les quiero compartir cómo hice este corazón de chocolates y golosinas muy original, para regalar en Pascuas.
En Argentina se festeja el Domingo 17 de Abril, y si bien es una celebración religiosa, al igual que la Navidad, las familias se reúnen a almorzar, y de postre se comparte el famoso “Huevo de Pascuas”. Este año le vamos a dar un descanso y probaremos hacer esta idea para regalar a los más chicos, y ¿por qué no a los más grandes?

Today I want to share with you how I made this very original heart of chocolates and candies, to give as an Easter gift.
In Argentina it is celebrated on Sunday April 17, and although it is a religious celebration, like Christmas, families gather for lunch, and for dessert they share the famous "Easter Egg". This year we are going to give it a rest and try this idea to give as a gift to the little ones, and why not to the older ones?
Why give little eggs as a gift? I asked myself. Below I share with you the curiosities that I found...

- Corazón en papel impreso o cortado a mano
- Cartón corrugado o cartulina para la base
- Plancha de telgopor de 2cm
- Cutter y tijera
- Cinta bifaz
- Papel seda o papel barrilete
- Goma espuma o relleno de papel opcional
- Cinta de raso del color a elección
- Pegamento universal
- Papel Celofán para envolver
- Barritas de chocolate Kinder u otra de la misma forma (26 u)
- Nutella, chocolates, etc.

¿Cómo armar la base? / How to assemble the base? 💙
- Para armar el corazón vamos a buscar en Google algún modelo de diseño de corazón que nos guste y lo enviaremos a imprimir en el tamaño deseado. *También puedes utilizar Canva.
- Tomamos el corazón de papel y lo ponemos arriba del telgopor para dibujar su silueta, que luego cortaremos con un cutter. (Para evitar el paso 1 y 2 también puedes conseguir una caja de cartón ya hecha con esta forma)
- Haremos el mismo procedimiento pero ahora con el cartón corrugado. El objetivo es pegarlo en la base para darle una terminación más bonita. Para adherirlo utilizaremos pegamento universal.
- Luego pegaremos la cinta bifaz en los bordes del telgopor, rodeándolo por completo, ubicaremos la cinta en la altura del telgopor que más se acerque al centro arriba de la barrita de chocolate (este consejito es importante para que la barrita no se caiga y mantenga estabilidad).
1.To make the heart we will search on Google for a heart design model that we like and send it to print in the desired size. *You can also use Canva.
2.We take the paper heart and put it on top of the styrofoam to draw its silhouette, which we will then cut with a cutter. (To avoid step 1 and 2 you can also get a cardboard box already made with this shape).
3.We will do the same procedure but now with the corrugated cardboard. The objective is to glue it to the base to give it a nicer finish. To adhere it we will use universal glue.
4.Then we will glue the two-sided tape on the edges of the styrofoam, surrounding it completely, we will place the tape at the height of the styrofoam that is closest to the center above the chocolate bar (this tip is important so that the bar does not fall and maintains stability).
La hora de los chocolates… / Time for chocolates... 🍬
- Ahora sí, pegareremos las barritas alrededor sin dejar espacios intermedios. Para mi modelo utilicé 26 barritas Kinder, si quieres calcular la cantidad necesaria para tu tamaño, podrás comprar una e ir probando cuántas necesitarías para cubrir el total (yo hice eso, jaja). *El chocolate Kinder lo puedes reemplazar por cualquier otro que tenga la misma forma rectangular, la idea es que sobresalga del telgopor para poder rellenarlo.
- Una vez terminado, y si quieres darle un aspecto más esponjoso, puedes ponerle relleno adentro de goma espuma cortada a medida, o guata, o relleno de viruta de papel. Mi modelo tiene guata.
- Si quieres darle más color, puedes tomar el papel seda y cortar un rectángulo para poner de base antes de apoyar los dulces.
- El relleno es totalmente libre: Puede ser un Nutella chiquito, una barra de KitKat, varios huevitos de chocolate pequeños, bombones, chocolates rellenos. Cualquiera que le guste a la persona a quién se lo vas a regalar.
- Ya casi terminamos, ahora llega el momento de tomar la cinta de raso y rodear el corazón, puede ser el tamaño 2 o 3, solo pones pegamento en la unión de la cinta, tiene que quedar bien tirante para que no se caiga. Luego terminar con un moño que puedes comprar hecho o hacer tu mismo. (Yo lo hice viendo tutoriales, es súper facil).
- Por último, para darle una mejor presentación, puedes envolver el regalo en papel celofán transparente y agregarle un moño o una tarjeta dedicatoria.
5.Now we glue the sticks all around without leaving spaces in between. For my model I used 26 Kinder bars, if you want to calculate the amount needed for your size, you can buy one and try how many you need to cover the total (I did that, haha).
*You can replace the Kinder chocolate with any other chocolate that has the same rectangular shape, the idea is that it sticks out of the styrofoam so you can fill it.
6.Once finished, and if you want to give it a fluffier look, you can put stuffing inside with foam rubber cut to size, or wadding, or paper shavings stuffing. My model has wadding.
7.If you want to give it more color, you can take the tissue paper and cut a rectangle to put as a base before placing the candies.
8.The filling is totally free: It can be a small Nutella, a KitKat bar, several small chocolate eggs, chocolates, filled chocolates. Whatever the person you are going to give it to likes.
9.We are almost done, now it's time to take the satin ribbon and wrap it around the heart, it can be size 2 or 3, just put glue on the ribbon, it has to be tight so it doesn't fall off. Then finish with a bow that you can buy or make yourself. (I did it watching tutorials, it's super easy).
10.Finally, to give it a better presentation, you can wrap the gift in transparent cellophane paper and add a bow or a dedication card.
¡Listo! Ya tienes armado un novedoso regalito de pascuas, rico y súper económico comparado a los precios de huevos que comercializan las grandes marcas (al menos en Argentina).
That's it! Now you have a novel Easter gift, delicious and very economical compared to the prices of eggs sold by the big brands (at least in Argentina).
Dato curioso / Curious fact 🤔
Para la religión católica el Domingo de Pascua (día de la resurrección de Jesus) es parte del Triduo Pascual, y el que pone fin a la Semana Santa que incluye al Jueves y Viernes Santo.
Actualmente, está prohibido el consumo de carnes rojas solo el Viernes Santo. Pero en la antigüedad, las restricciones en lo que hace a los alimentos eran mayores, incluían a los lácteos y los huevos y las mismas no se limitaban al Viernes Santo sino que continuaban luego de la cuaresma hasta el Sábado Santo inclusive.
Fue justamente esta prohibición la que fundó la costumbre de regalar huevos el Domingo de Pascua, día en el cual dejaba de regir la prohibición del consumo de los mismos. También se conoce que la elección del huevo se debe a que el mismo es símbolo de vida y fertilidad lo cuál se liga a la nueva vida que implica la resurrección de Jesús.
Si bien en la actualidad en algunos países se mantiene la costumbre de regalar canastas con huevos de gallina o pavo pintados o colereados con diversos motivos, mayoritariamente se han trocado los huevos de gallina por huevos de chocolate. En la Argentina, según estadísticas, el Domingo Santo es uno de los dos días del año en el que se consume más chocolate, el otro es la Navidad.
