Here we are, back again in Beautiful Banff Park. This time, it is Moraine Lake, and more specifically the hike to Eiffel lake. In this area there are two major hikes: the first is Sentinal Pass via Minnestimma lakes, and the second is Eiffel Lake (the less popular of the two). Seeing as I have been up to Minnestimma lakes about three times already (but not to the Pass), I figured that it was time to do Eiffel Lake. This part of Banff is known for its gorgeous Larch trees. Last year I went up, but was about 2 weeks too early, and missed out on the best Larches. This year I wasn’t going to miss out, so I planned accordingly. End of September it was. The weather was a bit cool, overcast, and just a tinkle of rain to start out with. To be continued tomorrow.
