I was writing a post about the Simpsons and suddenly I had the idea of looking for Simpsons coins. Reschedule! Let's go with this coin idea and then we'll run the other Simpsons post tomorrow.
So Simpsons has been on the air for 35 years. Unbelievable! In that time numerous collectables have been made, not the least of which are silver coins. I thought we'd do some window shopping today and look at some of them.
Tuvalu Coins
As near as I can see, it looks like Tuvalu produced some Simpson coins in 2019, 2021, and 2022. Unfortunately a lot of them are sold out of many of the online retailers and on Ebay they go for inflated prices. But a few are still available and for decent prices.
I like this one with Homer.
It's going for just above $50 at APMEX, which doesn't seem too bad. Get it here.
The cheapest may be this 2022 Season's Greetings one
I don't like it as much as the Homer one above, but it's still nice. Get it here.
There is also Marge and Maggie for not too much above $40.
Get it here if you like it.
There seem to be a lot more of the Tuvalu Simpson coins, but unfortunately most of them are sold out. I guess that goes to show Simpson coins are popular. That right there might be a good reason to pick up any new ones that are released.
Next, I came across this Treehouse of Horror coin. It is colored and a bit more expensive (around $70), but really cool. According to the site, this one is from the Perth Mint.
Wow, I'd love to have that one. I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for it. Get it here.
This next one is interesting. It shaped the coin as a figure and colored it. It's a bit pricy for an ounce, coming in around $80, but it is kind of cool.
If you like that, get it here.

And... unfortunately that's kind of it. There are many more Simpsons coins, silver and gold, but unfortunately most seem either sold out or with prices too high. There is always Ebay if you are willing to risk it. Looking at that, I'll just include one.
I like this one. And the auction is going for a reasonable price, only $41 as I write this. Looks like it is in the States, so anyone there might be able to bid for it. See the auction here
Well anyway, that is some of the available Simpsons coins I can find. My coin shop here never seems to get many themed coins like this so I might be out of luck, but looking at how many of these are sold out, if I see any I'm going to snatch them up.
