The first of my panels arrived yesterday, now I need to make a mounting frame for it.
This is the panel below, it is made by BP in Spain (@alejandr0) and is 175 watt @ 24 volts - 4.9 AMP with a peak of 44 volts. I have a 1000 watt 12 volt to 240 volt inverter also, that I have not pictured, the regulator arrived this morning as well, it is 10 amp 12 - 24 volt. This basic setup has cost as follows.
- Panel = $75 delivered.
- regulator = $20 delivered.
- inverter cost = $60 (had this for years as I used it in the car.)
- Batteries/storage will be by old motorbike batteries connected in parallel. (cost zero $0)
I now have to buy cables, fuses and some connectors, make a frame, then set it up, I will be showing full installation photos plus if I can get dtube to work - put a video on showing it working with the output results measured on my new Yato multimeter. (bargain at $10)
The panel is large at 63 inches in height x 31 wide. Lets take a look at the regulator we bought off a Polish version of evilbay.
Low cost energy for life!
I avoided saying "FREE" energy as this had the initial outlay of so far $155 not taking into account the multimeter, as that will have continuous use on other projects. I will total up the cost once I have bought wiring etc and would guesstimate it will be less (a lot less) than $200 US.
This initial setup is for lighting & music mainly, other panels will be added for my tooling, I just wanted to get started now.
Deliberators verdict = This is so cheap it is unbelievable, time to set ourselves free from the matrix.
As always have a superb Friday and weekend to come. & thanks for stopping by.
(The above gif made by the superbly talented @dwinblood, I have not paid for it yet, so a bit naughty in using it.)
