All hail Grandaddy Purple

This morning, my Grandaddy Purple seed sprouted up out of the soil and begins her long journey. GDP is by far my favorite strain of cannabis and I am excited to being this new grow.

I normally run several different plants in my grow tent, but this grow will be just a single seed and I am hoping that it will be my largest harvest yet. My last GDP I grew produced 3/4 a pound of some of the best weed I have ever grown.

Right now, the tent seems pretty empty. All that is in there is a large drip pan with a small 3 inch seed starter cup. It is hard to believe that this little lady will soon spread out across the entire tent, creating a four foot by four foot canopy.

I have learned so much over the past couple years growing and I can't wait to see how this grow turns out. I have gotten so much better at paying attention to the needs of the plant and not what I think it needs. I used to over water during the early stages and then over feed nutrients in the later stages. I am hoping that I am able to dial things down more to really create the perfect environment for this little lady to thrive.

This seedling has been grounded to the earth since I started the germination process and it will be interesting to see how well she does during the seedling stage. I have a small humidity dome that I put over her but took it off for the pictures. After about another week or so, I will be transferring her to a 10 gallon pot and that will be her home for the remainder of the growing process.
Happy Birthday little one. I can't wait to see how good you do over the next 5 months or so.
