My two purple lemonades are going to be the first ones to be ready for harvest and I think I just have a few more days to go. The trichomes are mainly milky and there are quite a few amber trichomes now as well.
Saturdays are my feeding days for these ladies and my purple punch and bubblegum will get their weekly feeding because they still have a few more weeks to go, but I will just be giving my two purple lemonades water to flush out the nutrients that is still in the soil. I am going to move one of them to a dark tent in a couple days and leave the other one in the main tent under the light to see if there is any difference.
I have had pretty good success with putting the plants in the dark prior to harvest, but some people don't think that it does anything, so we shall see. When you put a plant in the dark for 48 hours prior to harvest, it forces the plant to soak up all the nutrition from the soil because it isn't getting any energy from the lights, so in theory it should help the plants get a little extra nutrition at the end of their life cycle.
I am really excited to try this strain. I haven't really had too much of the green crack that I recently harvested because it is more of a day time strain and I have been so busy these past few weeks that I can't have any during the day. Purple lemonade is a nice indica dominate hybrid that is perfect for winding down at the end of the day and melting away pain and stress.
