Some days just feel ordinary, but some surprise you and stay in your heart forever . July 2 was that kind of day for me . It was the day of our university’s Recognition Ceremony for Dean’s Listers . I never thought I would be called, let alone rank 9 in our BEED batch . It still feels unreal even now .
A Morning Full of Excitement
I woke up early that day, knowing something special was waiting . The ceremony was set at 10 AM, so my mom and I started preparing right after breakfast . I could see the joy on her face as she helped me get ready . She asked if I felt nervous and reminded me how proud she already was . Her excitement made the moment even more meaningful .
Getting to the Venue
We left the house feeling excited and hopeful . On the way to the venue, my heart beat faster with every minute . I didn’t know what to expect but I was just happy to be part of the event . I wore something simple but neat, just enough to feel confident . My mom kept smiling at me and saying, “This is your day .”
The Big Moment
When the program started, the room was filled with proud parents and happy students . I listened as names were called and clapped for each one . Then suddenly, I heard my name followed by “Rank 9 .” I was shocked, frozen for a second, but quickly smiled . My mom clapped loudly and looked at me with so much pride .
The Work Behind the Award
That short moment reminded me of the hard work I had put in all semester . I remembered staying up late, reviewing lessons, and submitting tasks on time . Studying BEED is not easy, even if some people think it is . We learn about so much — from teaching kids to managing a classroom. Being recognized made me feel all the effort was worth it .
Why I Chose BEED
I chose BEED because I believe teaching can change lives . I want to be the kind of teacher who inspires and supports her students . The recognition made me believe even more that I’m on the right path . Every lesson I learn today will help me build better lessons in the future . That’s something I hold close to my heart .
Sharing It with My Mom
After the ceremony, my mom took pictures of me holding the certificate . She smiled so big and said, “I’m so proud of you .” I’ll never forget how happy she looked in that moment . She has always been my biggest cheerleader . Her joy was the best gift I could have received that day .
More Than Just a Title
The award wasn’t just a piece of paper to me . It was proof that the late nights and sacrifices mattered . It was also a reminder to keep going, no matter how hard things get . I know this is just the beginning of more things to come . But for now, I want to celebrate this win with the people who believed in me .
