My beloved and valued Rising Star colleagues, it's so good to see you here at hive again. On this beautiful day, I want to show you another of my drawings inspired by one of the cards in the game. Well, for today I've chosen the card i155 Claves. This is a very easy instrument to play, and above all, its operation is very simple. Of course, everything requires technique.
Claves are literally two pieces of wood, but I've seen them made of other materials. They produce their sound by striking one against the other. As you can see, it's very simple. The complex thing is that for those strikes to be musical, they must follow a rhythm. And that's where the difficulty lies, since not everyone can do it.
So now I'm going to show you how I drew today's claves. I'll show you from start to finish. The first step is creating the frame of the card; this is the simplest part of the process.
After that, I made the first key, and then the second. I tried to make them look exactly like they do on the original card, which is why I chose that shape. In fact, they touch in that exact same position, one on top of the other. Here, we learn while we draw. 😅 I'll show you.
The next step is always the details. As you can see below, I added some grooves to the grooves to give the woodcarving effect, as well as the shape of the notch where the sound is produced. It's like a small sound box.
One of the things left is to paint everything. As I'm going to show you, you'll see how I did most of this process. As on other occasions, I used a color palette similar to the originals, although I also allowed myself to add some changes to my liking. I'll show you.
And to conclude, my colleagues, I'll show you the completed process. In this final stage, I added all the final details to the letter. And with that, it's ready. Then we'll see you next time. Until the next drawing.
