Well, both of my people have already posted about our recent painting night while telling me to make a post about it as well, so here I go.
It was a rather boring night, to be honest. We were all sitting on different corners of the room with our phones and laptop, and at one point, I got a little bored. This boredom brought forth my inner desire to make a mess of things, so on the spew of the moment, I blurted out about painting. And weirdly enough, everyone agreed, and thus it all began.
Even though at first I did think about drawing some sceneries and calling it a day like I always do, the hunger for drawing an anime persisted. I haven’t drawn any anime for at least a year, mind you, so you can see just how out of proportion the whole thing looks. :v But meh, it’s not really about how the artwork came out, it’s about the fun I had doing it.
In a post a few days back, I wrote about how I had forgotten how the paint felt on my fingers. And that night, remembered it again, as the paint was all over my fingers, my bedsheets, my floor and my table. It was messy, destructive and chaotic in the most beautiful of ways, because in the end, there is nothing like painting, especially when you paint together with your bros. It was good fun, with our laughter and encouragement towards each other to keep going, even if we didn’t like what we drew on our papers.
I almost forgot how relaxing painting was until I picked up my brush that night. That serene feeling of calm that wraps around you when you do it, it’s a thing I didn’t realise I was craving. Even though all I did was whine and moan about how bad my artwork was turning out half of the time, I still enjoyed it a lot. I also had to deal with a whiny Egg on the side, who insisted she couldn’t draw, and ended up creating the cutest artwork among us. I mean just look at thosebunnies!! adorable!!
Lastly, we have our talented donkey, who without fail produced some beautiful serene sky-related art, even though she claims that she cannot work with acrylic. ( Just look at these liars I have as friends -,-)
Ohh there is me. I painted a weird-looking Wei Wuxian. He, turned out to be a she in my art so you can guess just how badly I did XDD I tried to make up for it by donning her in a pink-esque dress, but it was a fail. My art in general was a fail.
It was good fun though. Will try again 10/10.
