Anyone who has had to deal with finding a master knows what a pain it is.
I am lucky that I know how to do most of the small repairs myself.
Once, a friend paid a handyman 20 euros just to drill a hole for hanging a mirror.
A quarter of a century ago, when the trades started to be ridiculed and everyone went to university, the decline of the craft profession began.
How many times have I heard: "If you don't finish university, you will work as a plumber".
So today plumbers earn more than most college educated people.
And as for medicine, without good faculties and knowledgeable doctors, it becomes urgent and there is no one to treat us. That is correct. What a waste of the most modern hospitals and operating rooms, when there are no quality surgeons in them.
For some other professions, AI is rising to the stars, but I ask, will AI fix a broken pipe, repair the roof, dig a trench around the house...
