This one is a lovely killing beauty which I found on the wall of the kitchen in my workplace. It has a lovely small flower with a bright pinkish color. Don't be fooled by its appearance because it is actually an invasive species.
This is Antigonon leptopus or coral vines or queen's wreath or we called it Tanaman Air Mata Pengantin or newlyweds' tears which is sound a bit scary isn't it?
This flower can be used as a covering plant for a wall. But unlike creeping fig which can go up on its own with their strong roots, these species need something to hold on to.
They can grow really fast with good support and good soil, thus they can be considered a treat to the native plantation. With their ability to climb up, they can easily defeat other native plants in the race for sunlight. Therefore while they can look really nice, good attention is needed so that you won't lose your native plantation.
