Hey dear community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you have a weekend full of interesting experiences so far! In this article I would like to talk about nature and hope to be able to learn new things.
Today I had some good opportunities to photograph bees and I would like to go into the fascinating topic and describe how these important insects communicate with each other. Communication is particularly important for the division of work and each bee has its own task which can vary depending on age and within a bee colony the tasks often harmonize with each other and some bees are sent out, for example, to look for food which is then analyzed and processed by the others and also the food sources are shared among themselves so the others have it easier and nothing would work without the right form of communication. Even if there are possible dangers in the immediate vicinity, bees exchange signals to warn in time and the communication works via different types and the best known is probably through certain movements or dances and to signal certain actions there are different types of movement which are all supposed to signal their own topic and during the dance it happens that vibrations are generated which usually are in a frequency range between 200 - 500 Hz and the exact frequency can also vary between the type of movement, the size or type. It is particularly interesting to observe how, depending on their behavior, bees emit different frequencies and researchers have even discovered that even some plants are able to perceive the vibrations of the bees and even react to them and it comes to a higher production of sugar and another important way to communicate is to send fragrances which are also exchanged among the bees and to draw attention to certain dangers and it is definitely very interesting in what complex ways bees communicate.
Thank you very much for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about nature! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.
