Hey dear community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you had a pleasant start to the new week! In this article I would like to go into alchemy and hope you are interested in it and could learn new things.
In ancient writings of alchemy one often finds traces of an alchemical or chymical wedding, which suggests that it refers to the union between woman and man, but this principle of duality is only secondary in this context and these mystical writings are also closely linked to the teaching of the Rosicrucians and there are also connections to the Kabbalah. The origin of these texts is often associated with occultism and mysticism and to this day, it is not entirely clear who published the first writings about this wedding and it is assumed that it was Christian Rosenkreutz, but there are too few traditions that give certainty about the exact origin and these writings are also considered a metaphor for the path of enlightenment which consists of seven stages. The ancient writings are also closely connected with the teaching of the Kabbalah and rich in symbolism and depicted here is the path with these different stages which leads into the interior of a mountain and this path is linked in addition to the spiritual teaching also with the practical steps of alchemy in which are necessary to create philosopher's stone and the seven stages of enlightenment consist according to this teaching of calcination, sublimation, solution, putrefaction, distillation, coagulation and tincture. At the highest stage, the alchemistic work is done and the substance has been prepared and this can also be used as a metaphor for the spiritual awakening and on the top of the mountain one sees in these traditional works of art also the phoenix which once burned in the symbolism of alchemy to rise rejuvenated and the process is also considered a metaphor for the transformation of metals into gold.
The sun and the moon can also be found in these works, which are also supposed to express the principle of duality, and around the mountain you can also find some deities that are associated with planets and some of this symbolism has not yet been fully clarified and one can only puzzle over these mystical and cryptic writings. It is assumed that it is a secret teaching and this path of the different stages represents the path in which one develops oneself and brings oneself to enlightenment and during these stages first the spirit is separated from matter in order to add it back in a better state in the last stages in order to bring it to enlightenment. Beforehand, it is important to separate the substance from the matter and after the subsequent work steps, it is ready to be transformed into a better state and there are also some assumptions that this path should take place in seven days and during this cycle some things should have happened every day and night that express a higher meaning behind this work and it can also be considered as a story in which new things happen every day and the god figures also play a important role. It is assumed that this story which is hidden behind the seven days should have been the author Christian Rosenkreutz himself who goes the way to enlightenment and to this day, there are different interpretations of this legend and it is no wonder that it has fascinated numerous alchemists so strongly to deal with this work and unfortunately there are too few traditions from which time the text exactly comes and it can be considered as a mystery within alchemy which combines different teachings with each other and especially the profound symbolism is very interesting.
Thank you very much for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about alchemy! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.
