This week has been quite the challenge. Kids are being carted to here, there and everywhere their friends are in between. Which, takes up time. Braces and dentist appointments, but that's not the big issue this week.

The cute little fluff ball you see that is being trained as my shoulder cat, my new familiar, is named Minerva La Muerta.

She is actually an aunt!

That's right, each of the younger girls have a momma and kittens under their beds right now.

That is Gemini (the Sealpoint) and Silver (the Black Tabby).

Those two are the first offspring from a year ago of our fire survivor, Mr. Gray, and a striped tabby (now known as Auntie Kitty) that showed up shortly after we moved back onto the property. Minerva is from Auntie Kitty's second litter that came about six weeks ago and Gemini and Silver are now new mothers themselves.

Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, at about 4a.m., Ahsoka decided that Gemini's kittens resembled squeaker toys. Ahsoka likes to chew the squeaky part out of the toys I get her. If you're imagining what I'm trying to paint, you can see the horror I woke up to with Freya and Khaldeesi screaming and kittens having their squeakers torn out.

Lack of sleep to say the least. Two did survive though, and the girls are still a little sad, but they'll be ok. They've had a few instances of losing pets already with the fire and losing guinea pigs and Wenzday and the old age deaths of Maddux and Zoey. Shit all that in the last three years, and they still manage to smile. Makes my brain happy. Hope yours is too and you REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, even when trying to herd cats.
