Hi @avdesing, I don't know if I agree completely, I think partly yes. My experience tells me that the journey, the important one is the inside, and that the outside matters little (as long as you have a basic standard of living to live).
My external reality has changed little in recent years, if anything it has improved somewhat, but it is not what has influenced me to feel better now. I think that being apart from external validation is the main reason why I can now say that I am fine.
And let's go with love, when you value yourself in a positive way you don't need the valuation of others, you are less manipulable and freer. I'm going to be mean, I think this provokes some envy to the "little man" that Reich talked about.
The subject gives for much, but it can be synthesized in that photo you have chosen so well.
