Las botellas de plástico en esta casa no se botan pues tienen múltiples funciones. Las usamos para almacenar agua, bebidas o los productos de limpieza. Además conocen mi pasión por reciclar
En el frezeer teníamos una de agua congelada, y como no había agua fría, mi esposo agarro y rompió la botella para extraer el hielo de su interior.
Fue como si me quitaran un hijo 😔😂. Yo las guardo con mucho recelo porque nosotros no compramos seguido refrescos y jugos embotellados y esa pequeña "colección" llevo su tiempo reunirla.
Vi la botella rota completamente, pero la base seguía intacta. Es un plástico resistente, así que tome unas tijeras y conservé porque algo se me ocurriría para hacer con ella.

The plastic bottles in this house are not thrown away because they have multiple functions. We use them to store water, drinks or cleaning products.
In the fridge we had one of frozen water, and since there was no cold water, my husband grabbed and broke the bottle to extract the ice from inside.
It was as if a son was taken from me 😔😂. I keep them with a lot of suspicion because we don't often buy bottled soft drinks and juices and that little 'collection' took time to put together.
I saw the bottle completely broken, but the base was still intact. It is a resistant plastic, so I took a pair of scissors and kept it because something would occur to me to do with it.
Se me ocurrieron muchas cosas para hacer, pero una que sí que me hacía falta urgente era un portapincel para cuando esté haciendo mis manualidades.
Estoy cansada de usar esas tapitas de mantequilla que no tienen nada de estilo y que suelo dejar por ahí manchadas luego.
El tener un portapincel que además me servirá de paleta de pintura, me obligará a utilizar una sola cosa, mantenerla limpia y además a darle una estabilidad a los pinceles mientras hago las pinturas.
Como tiene 6 agujeros puedo mezclar 6 colores al mismo tiempo. No ocupa mucho espacio y es práctico.
I came up with many things to do, but one that I really needed urgently was a brush holder for when I'm doing my crafts.
I'm tired of using those buttery caps that have no style and that I usually leave stained around afterwards.
Having a brush holder that will also serve as a paint palette will force me to use only one thing, keep it clean and also give the brushes stability while I paint.
Since it has 6 holes I can mix 6 colors at the same time. It does not take up much space and is practical.
Antes de personalizar mi portapinceles era necesario hacer la base en los costados donde irían recostados los pinceles.
Para ello utilicé un picahielos de metal, lo coloqué en la estufa, directamente en el fuego, y dejé calentar por un minuto.
Luego haciendo un poco de presión fui abriendo 3 aberturas en los costados. Las hice en todo el centro de las secciones para que en caso de que goteara pintura, esta cayera en el agujero correspondiente.
Ahora si es momento de pintar.
Before customizing my brush holder, it was necessary to make the base on the sides where the brushes would lie.
To do this I used a metal ice pick, placed it on the stove, directly on the fire, and let it heat for a minute.
Then, applying a little pressure, I opened 3 openings on the sides. I made them all over the center of the sections so that in case paint dripped, it would fall into the corresponding hole.
Now it is time to paint.
Para que no se viera tan aburrido y transparente, utilicé pintura al frío de color negro. Apliqué dos capas y dejé secar muy bien.
So that it doesn't look so boring and transparent, I used black cold paint. I applied two coats and let it dry really well.
Luego con un esmalte de color rosa hice pequeños lunares en las intersecciones. Esto lo hice con la parte de atrás de una aguja de crochet. También puedes usar un pincel para esto.
Then with a pink nail polish I made little polka dots at the intersections. I did this with the back of a crochet hook. You can also use a brush for this.
Esta pintura no es resistente al agua y cuando vayamos a limpiar el portapincel se caerá, por lo que es necesario barnizarla para protegerla.
Yo lo he hecho con un esmalte de uñas transparente. Es importante cubrir cada rincón y llevarlo hasta los bordes para sellar por completo el color.
This paint is not waterproof and when we go to clean the brush holder it will fall off, so it is necessary to varnish it to protect it.
I have done it with a transparent nail polish. It is important to cover every corner and take it all the way to the edges to completely seal in the color.
Recuerda dejar secar muy bien antes de usar, esto puede variar dependiendo de la calidad del esmalte. Yo lo he dejado 30 minutos para estar segura.
Queda muy brillante y lindo. Ahora si, ya podemos comenzar a utilizar nuestro práctico portapincel.
