La estimulación sensorial es muy importante cuando deseamos un aprendizaje integral para nuestros pequeños. Y tal como su nombre lo dice estimulamos los sentidos: el gusto, el olfato el oído, la vista y por supuesto el tacto.
Sensory stimulation is very important when we want a comprehensive learning for our children. And as the name says, we stimulate the senses: taste, smell, hearing, sight and of course touch.
Los niños son por naturaleza curiosos a ellos les gusta explorar y descubrir nuevas cosas. Y como padres debemos supervisar que este proceso de exploración y descubrimiento se realice adecuadamente. Mi hijo por su condición de autismo requiere que esta estimulación sensorial se realice constantemente así que he aprendido a realizar algunas actividades en casa.
Children are naturally curious, they like to explore and discover new things. And as parents we must supervise that this process of exploration and discovery is done properly. My son, because of his autism condition, requires this sensory stimulation to be done constantly so I have learned to do some activities at home.
El día de hoy he decidido jugar un poco con mi hijo y nos dispusimos a pintar con nuestras manos. Quise usar colores variados en vista de celebrarse el Día Mundial del Síndrome de Down.

Está es una actividad muy sencilla y sólo necesitaran pinturas, hojas blancas y muchas ganas de estimular a sus niños en casa. Les cuento que, aunque he realizado esta actividad muchas veces con mi hijo aún debo tener cuidado porque trata de probar la pintura. Lo mismo sucede cuando trabajo la estimulación sensorial con la plastilina o el plastidedo, Por ese motivo debo supervisar muy de cerca cuando mi hijo explora cosas nuevas.
This is a very simple activity and you will only need paints, white sheets of paper and a lot of desire to stimulate your children at home. Although I have done this activity many times with my son, I still have to be careful because he tries to taste the paint. The same thing happens when I work on sensory stimulation with play dough or plasticine, so I have to supervise very closely when my son explores new things.
Su terapeuta siempre me recomienda que lo deje explorar a su gusto, que lo deje experimentar y jugar con la pintura, pero siempre controlando la actividad. Por eso lo dejaba en ciertas ocasiones que se expresara a través de la pintura porque forma parte del proceso de estimulación como tal.
His therapist always recommends me to let him explore as he likes, to let him experiment and play with painting, but always controlling the activity. That is why I let him express himself through painting on certain occasions because it is part of the stimulation process as such.
Los beneficios de la estimulación sensorial son diversos pero los más resaltantes es que fomentamos el desarrollo cognitivo de nuestros niños, potenciamos el desarrollo del sistema nervioso, los ayuda a conocer su cuerpo y a relacionarse con su entorno.
The benefits of sensory stimulation are diverse but the most important is that we promote the cognitive development of our children, we enhance the development of the nervous system, it helps them to know their body and to relate to their environment.

Estas son algunas de muchas de las actividades que pueden realizar en casa para la estimulación Sensorial de nuestros niños. Son sencillas y lo mejor es que podemos realizar las con materiales que tenemos en casa.
