For those of you that follow me on social media, you'll notice something about the way I share information. I've never been a big fan of endless promotion, as it tends to cause "promo fatigue" on the audience. However, I do believe in using the opportunities available on legacy social media to introduce my followers to the advantages inherent in Hive, Web 3.0 and The Blockchain.
The difference is, that I've developed a sense of the pain points caused by incessant cheerleading, and have a workable model of how to avoid it. Anyone browsing my tweets will see that while I might pin Hive and LeoFinance content to the top of my page, most of what I tweet about has little to do with crypto or the blockchain. That's by design, as my goal is to gently fold crypto content in in a natural way, so as not to hit the viewer over the head with a blockchain megaphone.
I think this is a better way to acclimatize the masses over time, so that we're tuning them into the blockchain without turning them off. I'll share news that might interest Joe Six-Pack, and Susie Soccer-Mom, while dropping in a Hive post every now and then. The point is that its done sparingly, as opposed to those where every single mention is of the same subject without giving their audience a well-deserved break.
Over the last year for instance, I've been highlighting the overthrow of the democratically elected civilian government of Burma (Myanmar), by the military (Tatmadaw), dictatorship. While not usually a fan of foreign interventions, if there was ever a country that deserves our assistance, it's Burma.
I 100% support the acting civilian government known as the NUG, and the brave citizens who've formed defensive units called PDFs (People's Defense Force), who are resisting the dictatorship. I also like to add in links to general news and hot stories, including anything related to technology. This helps to provide a balanced set of subjects that will reach a wider potential audience.
Everyone that cares about the future of Hive should pitch in to support our brothers on the blockchain. If I find an excellent post written by another Hiver, I'll upvote, reblog, and share it on the social nets. We're in the transition period from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0, and now is the time to make use of legacy social media to help ignite the blockchain revolution. Hive is for real. Now let's take it to the masses!
