One of the significant things in life is change. I see change as a major characteristic of living things. In this prompt, I would be sharing one thing I wish to change about myself. As the year gets deep, it's good for one to mirror himself and take stock of areas of weakness. Change is pivotal as far as there's life. Changes offer lots of possibilities to bring transformation to the lives of human beings. The degree to which someone grows is the function of the kind of changes one undergoes. Change creates an opportunity where one could adapt to a situation. Change builds an individual from one level to another. I could remember applying for a job some time back where I was asked what kind of change I was bringing on board. I had to clearly define it to them.
One thing I am trusting God to change is in the area of time management, even though there are other aspects I want to be better. Time means a lot to me; hence, managing it would have a significant role in my life. If we were to recapitulate the things we skipped when we had our time and season, you'll notice that we would have been better than where we are. We are all products of the kind of time we invested. Lately I told my eldest son never to misuse time and he should try everything within his reach to manage time because a day is coming where he may look for it and never find it. In order to achieve this, certain factors must be put in place that are not limited and restricted to:
Have a good planned schedule. This is one of the ways to curb the challenge of time management. I am quite sure if this happens, I will be enlisted amongst those that really did exploits in their season. One of the secrets I discovered about great people is in the ability to plan, schedule, and deliberately work it out towards reality.
Another area I hope to work on in order to change my area of time management is to set up goals. This would give me a good projection because goals give direction, and direction gives guidance to curb and eliminate all kinds of distraction. In setting a goal that would enable me to enjoy good timing, it must be specific and measurable. It shouldn't be clumsy but clear that one can run with it.
Another way is by having a mentor. There was a time in my life that I had to engage my mentor because I noticed difficulty in managing my time. His role and constant checks brought a revolution that I would never forget in my life. It was powerful to have him onboard.
Conclusion: Everyone has one thing or the other that we are optimistic to have change. I pray that God would grant me grace to manage my time and be fulfilled this year. Thanks for reading through my entry for this edition of the initiative.
