One of the ways to avoid losses in poultry is to take precaution and being observant. When i got the birds into their house on the first day i loss two birds at the same time. I begin to wonder what happen to them because am very sure of the place i got the birds from the right source. Where i got them is a place that they have good records of healthy chicken. So i know thats not where the issue came from. I examine the birds but could not get what happened to them.
On the second day i noticed one was not feeling well also eventually it died then that when i noticed that its might be to the changes in the weather and the way the breeze usually blow is high so i quickly got this local latern for them to keep them heat up and i observe immediately i put on the local latern they quickly move toward it and stay near it.
On the third day, i noticed that the rate at which they move to the local latern was much that it prevent other chicks who want to eat ,they could see very well so i thought of getting a lamp for them which will illuminate the room up so that they can eat and drink at night.
After buying all this, they have been doing well and since the second day the birds have been living healthy and fine.
Be sure of getting the right thing for your birds before starting because if i have gotten the right thing at the right time there is tendency of not incurring loss.
Also always monitor your birds at all time that is be observant so that you will quickly notice any issue with uour birds.
