Hello everyone, I hope everyone is doing well.
Since it was saturday yesterday, my friend ask me if I want to visit one of the tourist spot in the city. She mentioned me the name and it's my first time to hear it. The name is not familiar to me - it's Ililikha. When I heard the name, I'm curious about it. She told me that you'll love it. So, i didn't hesitate to come. But to my part, there's a sign age about it when we were at the pedestrian lane going there. And I always pass through it but did not stop to read the sign age. My friend told me she visited it once that's why she knew it. It's a walking distance at the town.
I'm amazed with the entrance. I already understand why the name goes like that because everything is created. It shows crafts with creativity- everything is made out of wood, bottles, scrap. It's like a hidden village full of art. As someone who love crafts at all, it's perfect for me. I didn't regret to come there. There's this elder man who has beautiful gray long hair. My friend think that he was the owner but not sure and the one one who crafted the place. There are sculptures that were crafted. Anyone can be amazed by it because of the design and the ambiance it gives.
This one, it shows the sustainable living of us Cordillerans, and the local cultures. In the first floor, there are stalls and they have products there that they served. We didn't take a look of it, I just take a picture there and keep praising the view.
We went to the second floor and an honesty flower shop appeared in the entrance. Beside it was another stalls full of varieties of stuffs like jeweleries, and handy crafts. In the walls, there were murals; an array of colorful artworks you can see everywhere you look; and a winding staircase if you want to go up. Inside of it too, it is filled with food stalls, cafes, and tiny shops. They served traditional cuisines (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) that are healthy, and made with creativity.
I thought it's just about the crafts, the food, the cafe, but more than that, there's a room where you can watch a movie. I'm amazed of the surrounding. It's really painted with woods and a painting hanging in the wall. I didn't noticed that there's an elderly who was sitting manipulating the laptop. But this time, there's now movie show, we didn't asked why. In that part also, there's a winding stair case going up. We tried to go up but it says: off limit thats why we came back downstairs.
I can say that ili-likha is a hidden gem where you can spend time with your friends; love ones or dating yourself. As I do my research about it, it's also a gathering for local artists - a chance for them to showcase their talents and skills. If you like to visit this tourist spot, surely you will like it. I also noticed that there were foreigners who visited it and they took pictures. One more thing is that, they do not have entrance fee so you are welcome to visit it and not also ili-likha but the city, you will experience the richness it gives in authentic way.
So, this wrap my blog, we really enjoyed there yesterday. Next time we will visit it again.
