Muchos nos preguntan ¿Por qué HIVE? ¿Qué os hace ser tan fanático, al punto que vosotros parecéis una secta? (Sí, nos han acusado de eso, chicos). Poco puedo decir para responder. Principalmente porque debéis estar dentro para metabolizar la plenitud brindada por nuestra comunidad. Y es que no dependemos de nadie más que de nosotros mismos para crecer. Y cuando un ser humano construye, lo demás le parece superficial. Punto. Dicho esto, quise escribir sobre un par de experiencias (a partir de nuestras propias vivencias con otros constructores de Web3 fuera de HIVE), con el fin de ilustrar la trascendencia de HIVE. Va mucho más allá de encriptar datos en una blockchain, lo que de por sí, hace posible la condición perenne de esos datos. Quienes estamos dentro de este mundo estamos tranquilos porque lo compartido no podrá perderse en el tiempo, por supuesto, a menos que suceda una tragedia global. Aún así, esa esperanza está allí y es incontestable.

Many ask us why HIVE, what makes you so fanatical, to the point that you guys seem like a cult? (Yes, we've been accused of that, guys). There is little I can say to answer. Mainly because you have to be on the inside to metabolize the fullness provided by our community. And the fact is that we do not depend on anyone but ourselves to grow. And when a human being builds, everything else seems superficial. Period. That said, I wanted to write about a couple of experiences (from our own experiences with other Web3 builders outside of HIVE), in order to illustrate the significance of HIVE. It goes far beyond encrypting data in a blockchain, which in itself makes possible the perennial condition of that data. Those of us inside this world are reassured that what is shared cannot be lost in time, of course, unless a global tragedy happens. Even so, that hope is there and it is incontestable.
En un mundo volátil como la Web3, HIVE se erige como un proyecto que trasciende los tiempos. La primera experiencia ha sido con un connotado líder de otra cadena de bloques, el cual conocí por allá en 2023 en plena "Caracas Blockchain Week" El hombre respiraba y vibraba de confianza por el proyecto en el cual trabajaba. Cuando le pedí explicar su utilidad, la verdad fue la primera señal de alerta respecto a tal cadena de bloques (evitaremos mencionar quien y cual, por ética). Nos vimos varias veces en diferentes eventos y nuestra sorpresa fue mayúscula cuando, hace un par de semanas nos enteramos por boca de él mismo, había renunciado a seguir representando el proyecto. El chico le había invertido al menos 4 años, pero por razones que sólo sabe él, de pronto se consiguió en el aire. Y cuando usted no puede explicar el proyecto donde se encuentra envuelto (y más si es dueño de una parte de él, como nuestro caso), lo más probable sea el mismo destino. Pero HIVE le ofrece la oportunidad de evitar esto.

In a volatile world like Web3, HIVE stands as a project that transcends time. The first experience has been with a well-known leader of another blockchain, whom I met back in 2023 in the middle of “Caracas Blockchain Week” The man breathed and vibrated with confidence for the project he was working on. When I asked him to explain its usefulness, the truth was the first warning sign regarding such a blockchain (we will avoid mentioning who and which one, for ethics). We met several times in different events and our surprise was huge when, a couple of weeks ago, we found out from him that he had resigned to continue representing the project. The guy had invested at least 4 years in it, but for reasons that only he knows, suddenly it was up in the air. And when you can't explain the project you are involved in (and even more so if you own a part of it, as in our case), it is most likely the same fate. But HIVE offers you the opportunity to avoid this.
La segunda historia es parecida. En éste caso tiene que ver con un builder de una cadena muy conocida, quien fue presentado a éste redactor por allá en LABITCONF 2023, en aquel momento me pareció un tipo muy valioso para esa y cualquier blockchain donde él pudiera compartir sus habilidades y talentos. Recuerdo haber hablado con entusiasmo sobre HIVE e intentar convencerle para que se viniera a bordo, sin dejar lo que hacía. Nada. Una respuesta fría de quien se sabe maximalista (mea culpa también) y pone su lealtad por encima de todo. Hace una semana nos contactó de la nada. Quería saber sobre HIVE y con mucho gusto nos pusimos a su orden. Aparentemente nos encontraremos en Aleph Hub la semana próxima para crear su cuenta y que comience el camino con nosotros. Demás está decir que, ambos chicos, admiran nuestra comunidad porque la han visto trabajar sin descanso y -desde luego- forman parte de aquel público que nos puso el mote de "secta".

The second story is similar. In this case it has to do with a builder from a very well known blockchain, who was introduced to this writer back in LABITCONF 2023, at that time he seemed to me a very valuable guy for that and any blockchain where he could share his skills and talents. I remember talking enthusiastically about HIVE and trying to convince him to come on board, without leaving what he was doing. Nothing. A cold response from someone who knows he is a maximalist (mea culpa too) and puts his loyalty above all else. A week ago he contacted us out of the blue. He wanted to know about HIVE and we gladly put ourselves at his command. Apparently we will meet at Aleph Hub next week to create your account and start the journey with us. Needless to say, both guys admire our community because they have seen it work tirelessly and -of course- they are part of that audience that gave us the nickname of “cult”.
Lo único que diré para ambos casos y el de muchos otros quienes no terminan de convencerse sobre los beneficios de HIVE es: no importa donde se encuentre en Web3, la idea es disfrutar el viaje y eso solo se consigue en comunidades de valor. Jamás me atrevería a dudar de otras cadenas, pero el mundo Web3 puede ser cruel si usted no escoge BIEN en donde invertirá su tiempo (si no tiene dinero de sobra para especular en el mercado cripto). The only thing I will say for both cases and many others who are not convinced about the benefits of HIVE is: no matter where you are in Web3, the idea is to enjoy the journey and you can only get that in valuable communities. I would never dare to doubt other chains, but the Web3 world can be cruel if you don't choose WELL where you will invest your time (if you don't have money to spare to speculate in the crypto market).
