Today is the second blog in which I present the legendary cards of the Rebellion Reward Set. The reason for this is that I already own enough common, rare and epic cards from the set and now it's the turn of the legendary cards. In the first part I already showed you which four legendary cards I received and I have the screenshot and the opening ready for you here again.
I already introduced Gallicus and Sergeant Grauzral in the first part, so today I'll be talking about the other two cards. As usual, I'll be talking about the artwork, the lore, the cards themselves and possible combinations with other cards from the Rebellion expansion. Have fun reading!
Emberguard
Emberguard are magical fighters who guard the “Ministry of Peace” of the “Ferexian Empire”. They are incredibly loyal to the Ferexian Empire and would give up their lives for it. When the “Chaos Legion” subordinated the “Ferexian Empire”, the Emberguard also belonged to the “Chaos Empire”. However, it remains to be seen whether they are just as loyal to it.
I really like the artwork of the card. The red uniform with the hoods and the half mask make the Emberguard look quite mythical and mysterious. I also think the fire projectiles, which are supposed to represent the magical attack, are very fitting. The artwork also goes very well with another card from the Fire Splinter, Chaos Evoker.
Emberguard is of course also part of the Fire Splinter and is a Magic Attacker. The card costs seven mana points and is therefore moderately expensive. It also has two speed points, seven life points and a single armor point, which doesn't sound like much, but can be very important against physical attacks. Thanks to the Demoralize ability, which I find really useful, Emberguard counters enemy Melee Attackers. At the second level, the card would also get the Deflect ability, which makes it a bit stronger on defense and especially useful in one or the other ruleset.
A good summoner for Emberguard is Lorkus, as it gives Emberguard another Magic Attack. Depending on the situation, the different abilities can then be chosen, as Emberguard does not benefit from these in general.
Since Chaos Golem already counters Ranged Attacker because of the Return Fire ability, it could be a good combination to also play Emberguard to counter additional Melee Attacker. Especially in battles with the Lost Magic ruleset, this would be a strong strategy.
Another approach to benefit from the Demoralize ability would be to play a big tank in the first position and place Mana Warden behind it. Together with Emberguard, you can counter physical attacks, especially Melee Attacker.

Syrenth
Syrenth, whose surname is Senrellesash, is a member of the “Gloridax Empire Dragonguard”. There she is deployed on the ground, on horseback and also on a dragon. But what she always has with her is her bow, because her skills with it are legendary. She fought against the “Chaos Legion” in the city of “Solace” and mocked them. After her arrows pierced the enemy's bodies and blood soaked the streets, she laughed maliciously.
I have to admit that Syrenth's artwork is one of the few that I don't think is that great. Sure, the physique fits well with the Dragon Splinter's appearance and the artwork generally fits the lore very well, but for a legendary card I think it's just too little and a bit unimpressive. The artwork just doesn't have anything special for me, it's just a dragon-like creature with a normal bow.
Unsurprisingly, Syrenth belongs to the Dragon Splinter. The card costs nine mana points and is therefore, like many other Dragon Splinter cards, quite expensive to play. However, you get four Ranged Attack in return, which is pretty good. The card also has two speed points and eight life points. Characteristic for the card is the ability Taunt, which fits well with the lore and makes the card a tank in the back ranks. On the second level, Syrenth is then given the Dodge ability and an Armorpoint, among other things, so that the defensive abilities of the card are further improved.
To be able to play Syrenth at all, you have to play a Dragon Summoner, of course. My choice here would be Akane. Both variants would be good options here, depending on whether you want to be more offensive or defensive.
If you have Runeseer Sevaya and Syrenth at least at second level, this would be a strong combination. Because of Runeseer Sevaya's Blind ability and Syrenth's Dodge ability, physical attacks would hardly stand a chance against Syrenth, as they would often miss.
Another strategy would be to set up Arachne Weaver, but of course this only works if the Death Splinter is also available. With the ability Corrupted Healing, not only Syrenth would benefit from strong heals, but also all other cards in the lineup, especially the tank in the front position.

Last Words
That's it for the presentation of the first four legendary cards I received and I can buy more Legendary Draws after the next season. I don't think either card is bad, but they're definitely not all-rounders and only play well in certain situations. But that's not a bad thing, it opens up tactical possibilities and a new depth in the battles, which I'm very happy about.

Anlass hierfür ist, weil ich bereits genügend common, rare und epic Karten aus dem Set besitze und nun die legendären Karten an der Reihe sind. Im ersten Teil habe ich bereits gezeigt, welche vier legendären Karten ich erhalten habe und ich habe euch hier nochmal den Screenshot und das Opening parat.
Gallicus und Sergeant Grauzral wurden bereits im ersten Teil von mir vorgestellt, daher geht es heute um die anderen beiden Karten. Wie gewohnt werde ich wieder auf das Artwork, die Lore, natürlich die Karten selbst und auf mögliche Kombinationen mit anderen Karten aus der Rebellion Erweiterung eingehen. Viel Spaß beim Lesen!
Emberguard
Emberguard sind magische Kämpfer, welches das „Ministry of Peace“ des „Ferexian Empire“ bewachten. Sie sind dem „Ferexian Empire“ unglaublich loyal und würden ihr Leben dafür aufgeben. Als die „Chaos Legion“ das „Ferexian Empire“ sich unterordnete, gehörten auch die Emberguard zum „Chaos Empire“. Allerdings bleibt anzuzweifeln, dass sie diesem genauso loyal gegenüberstehen.
Mir gefällt das Artwork der Karte sehr gut. Durch die rote Uniform mit den Kapuzen und der halben Maske, wirken die Emberguard ziemlich mythisch und geheimnisvoll. Auch die Feuergeschosse, die den magischen Angriff darstellen sollen, finde ich sehr passend. Außerdem passt das Artwork sehr gut zu einer anderen Karte aus dem Fire Splinter, nämlich Chaos Evoker.
Denn Emberguard gehört natürlich auch dem Fire Splinter an und ist ein Magic Attacker. Die Karte kostet sieben Manapunkte und ist damit mittelteuer. Sie besitzt noch zwei Speedpoints, sieben Liefepoints und einen einzelnen Armorpoint, was wenig klingt, aber gegen physische Angriffe sehr wichtig sein kann. Durch die Ability Demoralize, welche ich wirklich brauchbar finde, kontert Emberguard gegnerische Melee Attacker. Auf dem zweiten Level würde die Karte noch die Ability Deflect erhalten, was sie in der Defensive noch etwas stärker macht und vor allem in dem ein oder anderem Ruleset brauchbar macht.
Ein guter Summoner für Emberguard ist Lorkus, da Emberguard dadurch einen weiteren Magic Attack erhält. Je nach Situation können dann die verschiedenen Abilities gewählt werden, da Emberguard pauschal von diesen nicht profitiert.
Da Chaos Golem wegen der Return Fire Ability bereits Ranged Attacker kontert, könnte es eine gute Kombination sein zusätzlich noch Emberguard zu spielen, um zusätzlichen Melee Attacker zu kontern. Vor allem in Battles mit dem Ruleset Lost Magic wäre das eine starke Strategie.
Eine andere Herangehensweise, um von der Ability Demoralize zu profitieren, wäre einen großen Tank in der ersten Position zu spielen und dahinter Mana Warden zu platzieren. Gemeinsam mit Emberguard kann man so physische Angriffe, vor allem Melee Attacker, kontern.

Syrenth
Syrenth, mit dem Nachnamen Senrellesash, ist ein Mitglied der „Gloridax Empire Dragonguard“. Dort wird sie zu Boden, auf einem Pferd aber auch auf einem Drachen eingesetzt. Was sie aber immer bei sich hat ist ihr Bogen, denn ihre Fähigkeiten damit sind legendär. Sie kämpfte gegen die „Chaos Legion“ in der Stadt „Solace“ und verspotte sie hierbei. Nachdem ihre Pfeile die Körper des Gegners durchbohrten und das Blut die Straßen tränkte, lachte sie hämisch.
Ich muss zugeben, dass das Artwork von Syrenth eines der wenigen ist, das ich nicht so toll finde. Klar, der Körperbau passt gut zum Erscheinungsbild des Dragon Splinter und das Artwork passt allgemein auch sehr gut zur Lore, jedoch finde ich es für eine legendäre Karte einfach zu wenig und etwas unscheinbar. Das Artwork hat für mich einfach nichts besonderes, sondern es ist einfach nur ein drachenähnliches Geschöpf mit einem normalen Bogen.
Wenig überraschend gehört Syrenth dem Dragon Splinter an. Die Karte kostet neun Manapunkte und ist damit, wie viele andere Karten aus dem Dragon Splinter, ziemlich teuer zu spielen. Dafür bekommt man aber vier Ranged Attack, was ziemlich gut ist. Außerdem hat die Karte noch zwei Speedpoints und acht Lifepoints. Charakteristisch für die Karte ist die Ability Taunt, welche gut zur Lore passt und die Karte zu einem Tank in den hinteren Reihen macht. Auf dem zweiten Level erhält Syrenth dann unter anderem noch die Ability Dodge und einen Armorpoint, sodass die defensiven Fähigkeiten der Karte nochmal verbessert werden.
Um Syrenth überhaupt spielen zu können, muss man natürlich einen Dragon Summoner spielen. Hier würde meine Wahl auf Akane fallen. Beide Varianten wären hier eine gute Möglichkeiten, je nachdem ob man sich eher offensiv oder defensiv ausrichten möchte.
Falls man Runeseer Sevaya und Syrenth mindestens auf dem zweiten Level hat, wäre das eine starke Kombination. Denn durch die Ability Blind von Runeseer Sevaya und durch die Ability Dodge von Syrenth hätten physische Angriffe kaum eine Chance gegen Syrenth, da sie oft missen würden.
Eine andere Strategie wäre Arachne Weaver mit aufzustellen, das geht aber natürlich nur wenn das Death Splinter ebenfalls verfügbar ist. Durch die Ability Corrupted Healing würde nicht nur Syrenth von starken Heals profitieren, sondern auch alle anderen Karten in der Aufstellung, vor allem der Tank in der vordersten Position.

Letzte Worte
Das war es mit der Vorstellung der ersten vier legendären Karten, die ich erhalten habe und es können nach der nächsten Season weitere Legendary Draws gekauft werden. Ich finde beide Karten nicht schlecht, jedoch sind sie definitiv keine Allrounder, sondern nur in bestimmten Situationen gut spielbar. Das ist aber nicht schlimm, sondern eröffnet taktische Möglichkeiten und eine neue Tiefe in den Battles, worüber ich mich sehr freue.
