In my previous article about Leo Finance, I expressed my excitement at the numerous Web 3 projects carried out by this community and I want to give it all the support I can give because it deserves it. Little did I know that there is still much to come. And just few days ago, Leo announced the completely rebranded Cub Finance Kingdoms another new universe and opportunity to ear passive income through Defi staking. So in this article, I will be talking about Cub Finance Kingdoms and the opportunity for everyone here
Brief Introduction to the New Cub Finance Kingdom
The new Cub Finance Kingdoms is another exciting product created from the old cub kingdom. This new kingdom gives crypto investors and users the opportunity to earn yield when they stake their Cub tokens. Basically, it redefines how you earn from tokens (Cub) that would otherwise lie idle in your wallet. When you stake your cub, thereby removing it from circulation, you help the Cub kingdom to grow and you are rewarded based on the amount of cub staked, and the type of staking you choose and the duration of staking.
With all the drama that we have seen in the crypto world recently, and the massive loss of funds, there is no better place to put your hard-earned crypto than in a secure, decentralized wallet powered by the community. This new Cub kingdom gives you the opportunity to earn new Cub tokens from your stake, which are auto-compounding, but are still available to you for withdrawal anytime. However, the longer your funds are locked away, the money yields are generated and added to the original stake. There are two types of staking in this new Cub Finance Kingdoms. They are as follows:
Flexible Staking: In flexible staking, you receive a considerably lower yield from your stakes because your cub tokens are available to you anytime. It means you are free to withdraw when you want. You earn from your stakes, but not as high as those in fixed-term staking.
Fixed-Term Staking Here, you are paid much higher returns for locking your cub tokens away for a fixed amount of time. Just like the flexible staking, your returns in cub are compounded and added to the original stake. However, your staked cub tokens are not withdrawable within the defined period of staking. They are fixed - locked away until the period of staking chosen by the user is over. I have summarized the major differences between flexible and fixed-term staking in the table below:

From the above major differences, you will agree that it is better to stake fixed-term. The only major setback is that the funds are not available within that time. But then, it gives more yield and other benefits.
Just bought 2159 Cubs and staked for 6 Weeks
Well, I have mentioned before that I am impressed with the amount of work done by the Leo team. Not too long ago, I bought 5031 LEO, powered it up, and delegated it to leo.voter to support the community more.
To further highlight my commitment to the Leo Community, I just purchased 2159 Cubs and staked it fixed-term for 6 weeks. That would be the start of my journey in the Cub kingdom. I would like to demonstrate how I did it.
Note: I have already connected my wallet to the Cub Kingdoms platform and funded it with 2159 Cub. Lets continue with the rest of the steps.
- Step 1: Click Here to go to Cub Kingdoms website.
- Step 2: Select and click the first Cub kingdom option. Then click on 'Approve Contract' as shown below.
Depending on your wallet, you have to approve the connection prompt too. I use Binance wallet. So I have to click to approve it on the wallet extension as seen below.
- Step 3: Once connected, I clicked on 'Locked' my preferred option. That is for Fixed-Term staking. It brought out a small box. I entered the amount I want to stake in box (A), the lock up period in box B and I click on C to finish off the setup. check Image below.
Congratulations to me, In just 3 easy steps, I have staked my 2159 CUB for 6 Months. You can see the dashboard again.
I just did this as I was making this post. But I have already earned 0.05 Cub in this short time. And I have the option to Add more cub or even extend the staking time. Isn't that amazing?
Conclusion/ My thoughts
The New Cub Kingdom is really a cool way to earn passive income with your cub tokens. Its also a good way to support the growth of Web 3 and Defi. There are many reasons why I thing the New Cub kingdoms is really something we should key into. Here are some:
- Your funds are safe. Its Defi. Its Leo Finance, the pioneer of web3 projects on Hive
- You earn more from your idle funds. Especially if you go for fixed-term staking
- Its easy to set up, easy as ABC. I did it in 3 steps
- The crypto market is low now - should not you buy more in this bear market?
- There is sufficient liquidity for CUB as its backed by BSC. No fears if you want to back out. For me, am thinking of doing more
