Once you build momentum, don’t get bogged down and let it slip away.
What do the majority of people here on Hive do when they get a bit of momentum built up behind them?
They get comfortable and take their foot off the pedal.
It’s so easy to do.
Heck, I’m no saint in this regard.
It’s simply human nature.
But as I spoke about last week, the key to making money on hive is to build an active income stream.
We all want to build passive income streams and on Hive, there’s no denying that one can be built further down the line.
But if you don’t put in the manhours and grind away in the short-term, then forget about it sonny Jim.
There’s just no dodging the fact you’ve gotta do the work!
How to maintain momentum on Hive
If you’re grinding on Hive, writing a daily post, but skip a day for any reason, it’s super hard to get that momentum back.
You lose momentum and hit a slump.
Like something is literally pulling you in the opposite direction to the way you want to travel.
“Why can’t I just sit down and grind anymore?”
“It’s only been a day!”
It happens.
Once you pick up some momentum, don’t let it slip.
Keep tapping away on that keyboard every day no matter what.
Keep it going.
Because building and maintaining momentum on Hive doesn’t have to be a chore.
You’re here to earn HIVE crypto.
It’s all good, you can admit it.
You certainly don’t have to pretend that you’re not.
The biggest piece of advice I can offer is to remember that your social standing within the community matters.
You’re being paid from a community rewards pool and in order to receive rewards from it, you have to be seen as adding value.
Don’t leech.
Create evergreen content that Google will rank or that others can refer back to in future posts.
A second piece of advice I can offer is to paste prompts into a Google doc in order to maintain momentum.
Think about it.
How many times have you been stuck just staring at your blank screen with no idea where to even start.
But once you start, the words just flow.
It happens a lot!
So whenever you come across something either online or in your life, paste or jot it down onto a blank Google Doc.
Then each day when you sit down to blog, you now have somewhere to start.
If it triggered an emotion in your mind when you read it the first time, then you’ll have no problems rattling off the lines.
Remember, momentum builds more momentum.
So once you find it, don’t let it halt.
- Write every day.
- Find more prompts every day.
And don’t let yourself lose it again!
