Last week I created a blog which contained an overview of the topics that were mentioned in the subjects of the blogs of the previous week.
The blog received over 157 upvotes which was a sign for me that it was interesting enough.
So I decided to make another one this week. The nice thing is that we can compare the results of last week with the result of this week to see if there is a shift.
One thing I must mention is that I improved the quality of the word cloud. What I did before was scanning for the complete word preceded and followed by a space. I did this to prevent coins like TRON to be counted when somebody used the word ELECTRONICS in a subject.
The downside of this approach was that I missed the words that were preceded or followed by punctuation marks. For example (TRON), Bitcoin, ETH! and Leo? were not counted.
I now replace all punctuation marks by spaces to prevent this.
When I compare the word count with last week I will compare it with the adjusted numbers of last week.
Global subjects
In the past week a number of 2155 topics were created. That's 5% less than last week when there were 2289 new blogs in Leofinance.
I've removed Hive from the word cloud since this is mentioned the most and used for both the token and the platform. I did include it in the list below.
Bitcoin and crypto switched places but are mentioned less than last week (350 > 298 & 354 > 235). Also BTC is mentioned less (150 > 119). Leo is almost equal to last week (232 > 230), but Leofinance is mentioned a lot more (138 > 173).
Crypto coins
Things that stand out on the Crypto Coins cloud (apart from the big boys BTC, ETH and LEO) are LBI (26x) and CTP (21x). Also the free Spark coin airdrop for XRP holders is clearly visible in the cloud.
SPORTS and BAT (18 & 15) are just outside the top 10.
Hive games
Just like last week I took a look at the Hive games. @splinterlands is still the most discussed game, but mentioned a bit less than last week (76 > 58).
@risingstargame is really a Rising Star. With 9 more mentions this week they took over the 2nd place of dCity.
@cryptobrewmaster, @rabona and Exode have almost the same count as the week before.
Any requests?
Are you interested in how many times a specific term is mentioned in the blogs of the past week, just let me know in the comments and I'll look it up for you.
Any other suggestions are welcome as well.
