Greetings friends. The other day I was looking at some stickers I have on my phone and I noticed one that I really like; in fact, I like to use it a lot. So, thinking about this sticker, I decided to make this figurine to have in my sculpture collection.

It is a little blushing kitten, which is very charming in my opinion. I decided to immortalize him in this little sculpture, whose creative process I will show you next. Join me in the tutorial of such a charming blushing kitten.

Saludos amigos. El otro día estuve viendo algunos stickers que tengo en mi teléfono y me fijé en uno que me gusta mucho; de hecho, me gusta usarlo mucho. Así que, pensando en este sticker, decidí hacer esta figurita para tenerla en mi colección de esculturas.

Se trata de un pequeño gatito sonrojado, el cual es muy encantador a mi parecer. Decidí inmortalizarlo en esta pequeña escultura, cuyo proceso creativo les mostraré a continuación. Acompáñenme en el tutorial de tan encantador gatito sonrojado.

Step by step

The materials I used for this figurine were the following:

• Plasticine
• Wire
• Glue
• Tools such as a knitting needle, a cutter, tweezers and pliers.

Paso a paso

Los materiales que utilicé para esta figurita fueron los siguientes:

• Plastilina
• Alambre
• Pegamento
• Herramientas como aguja de tejer un cúter, pinzas y tenazas.

Being a simple shaped figurine, I started working on two shapes, the head and the body. These shapes I made with brown plasticine, as I mentioned before.

The body has a shape similar to a small barrel, while the head has, as redundant as it may seem, another shape similar to a barrel but cut in half.

These two pieces I joined them together without any kind of base, since it is a simple shaped figurine and does not need a too big skeleton to be able to stand up, it is enough that the bottom part is flat, so that it stays in an upright position.

Al ser una figurita de forma simple, comencé trabajando en dos formas, la cabeza y el cuerpo. Estas formas las hice con plastilina marrón, como ya les mencioné.

El cuerpo tiene una forma parecida a la de un pequeño barril, mientras que la cabeza tiene, por muy redundante que parezca, otra forma parecida a un barril pero cortado a la mitad.

Estas dos piezas las uní sin ningún tipo de base, ya que es una figurita de forma simple y no necesita un esqueleto demasiado grande para poder mantenerse en pie, basta que la parte de abajo sea plana, para que se mantenga en una posición levantada.

After I had made this shape, I continued smoothing the two joints so that there would be no separation between one piece and the other. Then, with the help of a knitting needle, I began to mold the shape I wanted to give to the body of the cat.

This cat is Chibi style, so I made the body with a shape similar to this unique style.

I molded the snout part making the nose a little more pointed and the head part a little more rounded.

For the torso part, I made them a little wider at the bottom, being that the kitten is a little fat.

Después de haber hecho esta forma, continué alisando las dos uniones para que no haya separación entre una pieza y la otra. Luego, con ayuda de una aguja de tejer, comencé a moldear la forma que quería darle al cuerpo del gato.

Este gato es de estilo Chibi, así que el cuerpo lo hice con una forma similar a este estilo tan singular.

Moldeé la parte del hocico haciendo un poco más puntiaguda la nariz y un poco más redondeada la parte de la cabeza.

Para la parte del torso, los hice un poco más ancho en la parte inferior, siendo que el gatito es un poco gordo.

After having made this part of the body, I continued with the little ears, which I made by cutting out two very small triangular shapes.

I simply placed them on top of the head, one triangle on each side. I smoothed the joints so that there would be no separation between the plasticine pieces.

Después de haber hecho esta parte del cuerpo, continúe con las orejitas, las cuales hice cortando dos formas triangulares muy pequeñas.

Estas simplemente las coloqué en la parte superior de la cabeza, un triángulo a cada lado. Suavicé las uniones para que no se viera separación entre las piezas de plastilina.

For the cat's abdomen, neck and part of the face, I used a plasticine color similar to beige. I made this color by mixing yellow brown and white, being the yellow and brown the smallest proportion I used with respect to the white, which was more than half of the material mixed to obtain this color.

Well, with this color I made a cover for the abdomen, the neck and part of the face, which I blurred with the brown, using the rounded part of the knitting needle.

Para el abdomen del gato, el cuello y parte de la cara, usé un color de plastilina similar al beige. Este color lo hice mezclando amarillo marrón y blanco, siendo el amarillo y el marrón la proporción más pequeña que usé con respecto al blanco, que era más de la mitad del material mezclado para obtener este color.

Pues bien, con este color hice una cubierta para el abdomen el cuello y parte de la cara, la cual difumine con el marrón, usando la parte redondeada de la aguja de tejer.

After finishing this part, continue with the kitty's extremities. For the hands I made two elongated triangles and for the paws only two rounded triangles in the widest part, to which I made two lines to differentiate the three little fingers that the cat has.

I used wire to attach each of these pieces to the body.

Al finalizar esta parte, continúe con las extremidades del gatito. Para las manos hice dos triángulos alargados y para la las patas solo dos triángulos redondeados en la parte más ancha, a la cual le hice dos líneas para diferenciar los tres deditos que tiene el gato.

Use alambre para fijar cada una de estas piezas en el cuerpo.

The face of this kitten is a smiling face, so I started working on the mouth by making black plasticine lines. I also made the nose with a black triangle and the eyes I made very small, curved and placed just above the cheeks.

On each side of the face I made numerous red lines, to simulate the blush that the cat has on its face.

La cara de este gatito es una carita sonriente, así que comencé a trabajar en la boca haciendo líneas de plastilina de color negro. La nariz también la hice con un triángulo de color negro y los ojitos los hice muy pequeños, curveados y colocados apenas encima de las mejillas.

A cada lado de la cara hice numerosas líneas de color rojo, para simular el rubor que tiene el gato en la cara.

As the last essential detail for a cat, I made the tail, which I wrapped around a wire so that it could keep its shape and serve as a support, providing a triple stability together with the other two feet.

To attach this piece to the body, I used the same wire on which I molded the tail.

I also used glue to better attach all the other pieces below.

Ya como último detalle imprescindible para un gato, hice la cola, la cual hice alrededor de un alambre para que esta pudiera mantener su forma y sirviera como soporte, al proporcionar una triple estabilidad en conjunto con los otros dos pies.

Para fijar esta pieza al cuerpo, use el mismo alambre sobre el cual moldeé la cola.

También usé pegamento para fijar mejor todas las demás piezas de abajo.
