Desde la creación de los videojuegos a finales de los años 60 se han visto muchas cosas que han impresionado a las personas, periféricos interesantes, consolas poderosas, pero existe algo que ha marcado múltiples generaciones con el pasar de los años y han sido juegos que desarrollan para los diferentes sistemas de entretenimiento.

Since the creation of video games in the late 60's, there have been many things that have impressed people, interesting peripherals, powerful consoles, but there is something that has marked multiple generations over the years and these have been games that have been developed for different entertainment systems.

De manera progresiva y gracias a la tecnología los videojuegos fueron tomando un camino lleno de variedades que nadie se podía imaginar, quienes jugaron con una Magnavox Odyssey la cual fue la primera videoconsola que usaba distintas plantillas en una TV para formar un concepto del juego, jamás pensaron en lo que se convertiría esa industria.

In a progressive way and thanks to technology, video games were taking a path full of varieties that no one could imagine. Those who played with a Magnavox Odyssey, which was the first video game console that used different templates on a TV to form a game concept, never thought about what that industry would become.

Fueron diferentes épocas donde los videojuegos estuvieron en la cima, a esos años se les llamaron “años dorados” y es precisamente por las innovaciones y juegos impresionantes que se lanzaron al mercado, una de ellas fue entre 1979 y 1982 con la Atari 2600 y las diferentes máquinas Arcade las cuales eran los principales centros de entretenimiento en múltiples países.

Pero donde realmente los videojuegos tuvieron un protagonismo muy relevante fue a finales de los años 80s, la guerra entre Nintendo y Sega fue una de las batallas más intensas por ver quién era la mejor compañía, esto a todos los usuarios nos benefició mucho debido a que constantemente veíamos innovaciones.

But where videogames really had a relevant role was at the end of the 80s, the war between Nintendo and Sega was one of the most intense battles to see who was the best company, this benefited all the users a lot because we constantly saw innovations.

En los 8, 16, 32 y 64 bits se desarrollaron juegos que dejarían una huella imborrable, tanto que casi ningún videojuego superaría en calidad e innovación los cimientos formados en aquellos años, además, muchas de esas creaciones sirvieron como ejemplo para desarrollar videojuegos que conocemos en la actualidad, por ejemplo, Street Fighter 2.

In the 8, 16, 32 and 64 bits were developed games that would leave an indelible mark, so much that almost no video game would surpass in quality and innovation the foundations formed in those years, in addition, many of those creations served as an example to develop video games that we know today, for example, Street Fighter 2.

Por ejemplo, la compañía Nintendo lanzaría una consola llamada Nintendo Classic Mini en el año 2016, era una versión pequeña de su consola de antaño de los años 80 que te trasladaba con su mando a la jugabilidad de aquellos años. Automáticamente se convirtió en un éxito debido a que se trataba de un producto que a muchos marcó su época gamer.

For example, Nintendo would release a system called the Nintendo Classic Mini in 2016, which was a small version of their system from the 1980s that took you back to the gameplay of those years with its controller. It automatically became a success because it was a product that many people felt was a gamer.

Lo mismo hicieron con la Super Nintendo un año más tarde, SONY al ver todo lo que sucedía con la moda retro también lanzaría al mercado la versión mini de la primera PlayStation, sin embargo, esta consola por diferentes motivos no tuvo el mismo impacto que las consolas de la competencia.

But this has not only happened in game consoles, it can also be seen in the development of video games, in the last few years there have been multiple developments of remakes, that is, many companies are redeveloping and improving in different aspects games of yesteryear that had a great impact.

Esto es algo que anteriormente las compañías no hacían, recuerdo que hubo un momento que los fans le pedían insistentemente a Capcom realizar un Remake de Resident Evil 2, ellos jamás mostraron interés en realizar esto. Fue así como unos fanáticos de la saga decidieron hacerlo por su cuenta, al mostrar la enorme comunidad que se estaba formando Capcom tomaría el poder de dicho remake y lo lanzaría de forma oficial.

Nintendo también ha realizado esta técnica con ciertos juegos de su franquicia, el conocido Metroid II: Return of Samus lanzado en el año 1991 para la Game Boy tuvo su remake en el 2017, un videojuego que muchos olvidaron, pero al momento de verlo con un aspecto renovado llamaría la atención de su comunidad.

At the moment this kind of videogame retrospective is working, there are many gamers who are excited to see their favorite games from the past with a totally renewed look, however, there is a risk that this will have its consequences, there may come a point where we have no more innovations for a while and this becomes a market for remakes.

Sin embargo, las compañías están haciendo un excelente trabajo con los videojuegos que han lanzado, a los jugadores no nos queda más remedio que ver como evoluciona todos estos acontecimientos, solo espero que no dañen lo hermoso que fueron los videojuegos de aquellos años.

However, the companies are doing an excellent job with the videogames they have released, we players have no choice but to see how all these events evolve, I just hope they don't damage how beautiful the videogames of those years were.
