Since I won't go on vacation this year for reasons mainly related to some serious investments in bettering the house, the solution for me is to double down into more grind.
Work on the house hasn't started yet (if all goes well it will start next month), but I imagine at that time it will be quite a mess. And my schedule will likely be quite chaotic then.
Source - Nope, not my backyard view. I wish it was, lol.
I don't believe anyone is thrilled to have workers around the house all day long, banging and drilling, with no roof on the house for a while, and praying not to rain when that happens.
So that's what I'll expect most likely starting from August, until... it's over.
To keep my mind off all that, even before it started, I just grind more. This post doesn't help, but sometimes a little context is useful. :)
For this purpose of taking challenges to keep my mind occupied, I volunteered to work more directly on a project I've been quite close to lately.
I don't want to give you details until I have something minimal to show you. What I can tell you for sure is that it involves A LOT of grinding and no immediate results to show for that.
But maybe that's our problem often. Living in a microwave society, lacking patience, consistency, and the desire to work without the prospect of immediate payment or results.
This is one of those tasks that will show results (or not, it's not a guarantee) after at least a medium term.
If all goes well, I'll tell you more about it in my post tomorrow. And who knows, maybe you can help! Everyone CAN help. Don't worry, no additional grinding for you... unless you want it, lol.
