Few Days to HiveFest 2023
With only a few days to Hivefest (22-26 September), it is already late for new pre-fest announcements, as participants are already close to fly to their destinations, but still, a final guide to safety, fun, and local interaction was published, to avoid any potential issues that might prevent participants from having a great experience in Rosarito, Mexico at Hivefest.
Hive at BREATHE Las Vegas
To be honest, I imagined more coverage from there, especially with such an important presence from Hive. I guess this short clip sums up all that was published on Hive and X and I could find.
On second thought, I believe this video which shows how the pavilion was set up is nice to see too.
Land 1.5 Close to Being Released by Splinterlands. For now in the Mavs Test Server.
After serious delays from the original planning, the first gameplay for the Land expansion (version 1.5) is almost ready to be released. Before that, it entered a final phase of testing by the Mavs (players who purchased a lot of assets in the game). There is no official post about it, but I assume there will be one when it will be publicly released. This was announced in Discord and X.
A preview of the new gameplay was presented during this week's town hall meeting.
HiveBeeCon Kraków
Can't make it to Rosarito for Hivefest or you have pleasant memories from the Hivefest in Kraków? Gandalf (@gtg) can't make it to Hivefest for the first time and organizes HiveBeeCon meetup in Kraków, after HiveFest, on October 7th.

Leo Outreach Campaign
Leo team started a 5,000 HBD prize pool outreach campaign (for September), but which will be on a monthly basis until December 2024.
Core Dev Meeting
Another core dev meeting this month. This was a pretty short and technical one (they are often technical). What I've been able to extract from there is that HAF will be the front and center of everything. Blocktrades strongly encourages that the old account history and old Hivemind be replaced with HAF throughout the ecosystem. Here's the meeting's transcript and recording.
PeakD and Peak Open Updates
Both Peak Open and PeakD came forward with update posts. Peak Open shared their new options to switch users, ability to choose time format and a few others for HiveHub.dev,
PeakD announced the addition of AI tools into their front end, for the convenience of content consumers and not only.
V4V.app Improvements and Proposal
@brianoflondon made a video on how to use v4v.app to send Lightning and receive Hive easily, presenting the improvements of the app too.
There is also a new post about the V4V proposal, which is currently about 2m HP short from being funded by the DHF.
dCity Updates
dCity published a number of updates, the most important of them being that the 3rd edition of cards is coming to an end.

Hive at WRC Acropolis
Our Hive-branded rally car was at the race in Acropolis. We have two posts from there to bring us into the atmosphere. One of them shows us the event as a whole in images. If you are a passionate, you shouldn't miss this post.

Hive Brand Wore by Hola Supercenter Employees in Sucre
I thought this remark alone makes the post deserve a spot in this section. The partnership between HiveSucre and Hola Supercenter goes further than offering the HBD payment option. It looks like ALL their employees wear double-branded t-shirts, one of the brands being HIVE, the other being the Hola brand. I suppose we (Hive) are paying for this promotion, but it's a way to boost the awareness of Hive in Sucre and the use of HBD for payments.

Google Entering Defi Space?
Looks like Google Cloud will collaborate with a Web3 startup Orderly Network to bring defi to mainstream. And... what is more mainstream than Google, right? Of course, Google Cloud is one of many Google services. Let's see how this evolves.
Using Metamask for Solana Apps
I don't know much about Solana. From my understanding, it's not an EVM chain, but they developed an EVM-compatible layer that allowed EVM dapps to switch to Solana without any code change.
From the same category of actions, but this time for users, seems like from now on the Metamask wallet can be used to access Solana Apps.
Too bad that also from what I heard they are way too centralized at the base layer...
