Mental conditions - as such, mean different things. Under this term can be understood the overall psychological characteristic of a person at a certain point or over a longer period of time. There is, for example, an euphoric, excited, relaxed, balanced or depressed personality, given a certain quality of her overall behavior at the time. On the other hand, the term "mental state" means even more limited phenomena - for example, the state of imbalance between the body and the environment that is expressed in a certain need or the level of activation in a given brain area. The state of the condition depends on the physiological conditions present at the time of observation, on the psychic properties and on the external conditions.
Mental conditions may be unconscious . Often the initially unconscious state changes in awareness. People can deliberately mask their states. Diagnosing the condition is done by analyzing both the expression and the verbal account, as well as the behavior. In many cases multiple-state analysis is the only way to diagnose psychic properties. Psychic conditions also depend on the individual's construction. It is known, for example, that melancholic falls into anxiety, choleric is often excited, the phlegmatic is calm. This is noticed when people with different temperaments are in the same situation at the same time. This undeniable fact highlights the personal aspect of mental states. The mental states are situational, personality and situational - personality. Conditions such as anxiety, and depression, stress and distress, frustration and aggression, guilt or euphoria characterize the person. Mental states are persistent, built up by cognitive elements, not related to a particular process, but to overall mental activity, and influencing people's thoughts, feelings and behaviors. The way mental states originate and run, as well as their personal aspect, show that they are at the lowest level in the hierarchy on which certain attributes of personality are built. The formation of qualities is based on repeated repetition of one or other mental states. The formation of specific qualities of personality takes place in the process of manifestation of man in one or another area of life. The universal qualities have a wide range and are based on the qualities of the lower levels.
Mental conditions can be seen as a norm and not a norm and are: - Anxiety - Appears when a person is missing something. It belongs to the category of attraction related to an upcoming future event; - guilt - this is a condition that makes the person worry and restless and through it he can be manipulated. Feeling guilty may be unconscious; - stress - normal behavior when a sudden change of the situation. It is a normal psycho-physical reaction. Against stress, one can react by: escaping the situation, fighting the aggressor causing it, cohabiting; - frustration - a state in which, on the way to achieving goals, one feels that someone is interfering with it. The more one is neurotic, the frustration is greater. Unsatisfaction and annoyance - everything is mixed in one. Frustration is characteristic of mentally unbalanced people. It is: frustration aggression; frustration regression; displaced frustration. When one wants to overcome the barrage of frustration, the "fuel" is needed for that; - fear - a condition associated with a danger to human life, health and moral values. People are afraid without knowing why. Cessation is related to unpredictable changes in nature and society. This is a real fear. Sources of fear are: related to things beyond our control; neurotic, unreal fear; fear of punishment of our own conscience; fear of the power of desires; - euphoria - a normal state of joy and happiness for man. The state of euphoria with unreasonable joy to stupidity leading to a clinical state of mental disorder; - depression - a state of unreasonable sadness independent of external factors.
