This is my entry to the initiative that is sponsored by @theycallmedan and @leofinance. The initiative is all about talking about your Financial Goals for this Year 2021. In this post, I'm going to precisely talk about my crypto investments and my plan for 2021
Let me start with the GEM tokens that I'm heavily invested in. Here is the list of the tokens::
There are other tokens as well that I'm invested in but the stake is not that much and hence I'm not listing them here.
Setting GOALs in life is very important to me. And I've learned it from my mentors in life, teachers at school, and parents who taught me how important it is to set GOALs in LIFE. I also did many posts around; why is it important to set goals here on HIVE & LEO platform.
HIVE GOAL of 50K HIVE POWER
One that is very close to my heart is the accomplishment of my GOAL to having 50K HIVE Power by the end of 2020. I kept on emphasizing and talking about my GOAL here on HIVE & it motivated me to finally accomplishing it. And not only that; I further went ahead to achieving 55K Hive Power. Some of the posts that I made to remind myself of my GOALs and not to get distracted are here::
And here comes the FINAL post that was tied to the accomplishment of the 50K Hive power GOAL.
Let me tell you this if I wouldn't have set my GOALs i.e.; What I want to achieve here in the HIVE platform then I wouldn't have reached this stage of acquiring 55K HIVE Power.

And, Yes, I do agree that all the HIVE POWER that I gained is not earned via curation, delegation, or author rewards. It's a mix of all of them and I did buy HIVE when opportunity struck.
Sold my stake in other projects like XRP, TrustSwap, 1UP, UniSwap, and invested all in HIVE to reach my GOAL. It was like that feeling that I was breathing my GOAL ALL day In and out. Every bit of HIVE that I earned was powered up. I turned to HIVE; saying that I anyhow want to achieve this GOAL; NO matter what. I still remember the time setting this GOAL of 50K Hive Power; when I just had close to 20K HP.
For many, it might have looked unrealistic but to me, it looked like I'll try all the ways out to reach my destination. And believe me or not; Universe did help me here as well. Remember the Free UniSwap tokens that we got. I was lucky to get close to 800+ UNI tokens as I had two ETH wallets in which I did some transactions. Sold all the UNI tokens to get HIVE and powered up them to come closer to my target. So, What I'm trying to convey here is that when you have that determination in accomplishing your GOALs; even the universal law; precisely the Law of attraction starts working for you to accomplish what you have asked FOR.
Continue Investing In Cryptos; 2021
The financial goal that I've set for myself for 2021. Is to continue to build my crypto portfolio. The Six GEMs tokens that I talked about, I'll continue to enhance my stake in them, and here is the GOAL that I've set for them.
- HIVE:: Enhance HIVE Power from 55K HP to 75k HP
- LEO :: Looking forward to becoming an Orca and build LP to 15K
- Dcity SIM:: Rech to a point to earn 100 HIVE daily via ranking & SIM rewards
- LBRY:: Staked 120K LBC tokens to 200K LBC tokens
- VIDYA:: Acquire 100k VIDYA tokens; short 40K VIDYA tokens
- TRAVALA:: Join SMART program; Need another 2.5K AVA tokens
So this is an exhaustive list of GOAls that I've for all my GEM tokens. I'm not sure if I'll be able to accomplish these set GOAls by the end of 2021. But What I'm sure about is that setting GOAls is the first step to accomplishing; What you want and it's like 60% rather 80% of the WORK already done. I just need to work out 20% more to accomplish my Set GOALs.
Liquidate Stocks/Mutual Funds; Buying Crypto
It's been a long time i.e. a decade now that I've invested in Mutual Funds via SIP [Systematic Investment Plan]. All these investments were made to get a rebate in Income tax. Here in India; we get close to Rs.150K which is close to $2K+ rebate if we invest that money in government announce schemes and one of them is the mutual fund category.
But investing in a mutual fund means that your funds are locked for 3 Years, which means you need to invest in that category of mutual fund i.e. ELSS [Equity Linked Tax Saving Schemes].
I have a plan to liquidate all the matured funds and invest in emerging crypto projects. Some of the funds will be going into the GEM projects that I've listed above and some I'll divert into emerging projects and the ideas that I get from my friends here on HIVE and LEO platform. LBRY & TRAVALA investment idea came from the LEO community. My dear friend @trumpman is the one who brought the TRAVALA project to my attention. Looking forward to many more such project ideas that we all can invest in if viable.
The Conclusion
I guess it's a lot that I've written and shared about my financial goal for 2021. I'm not sure; how many people would believe what I've written. But, frankly speaking, all are true facts, and many a time, I've written about all of them here on HIVE and LEO platform. From setting goals plan to sharing the achievements and the happiness that you get by accomplishing; all that you had set for yourself.. it's just a GREAT feeling..
