Splinterlands is a blockchain-based trading card game built on HIVE Blockchain. Its the No.1 leading blockchain games that allows players to trade, sell, and lease their assets/cards. In this post, I am particularly going to focus on the rental income that one can make if they decided to rent out their cards. Players still HOLD their assets, even if they have rented the cards out. And by doing so they earn a passing income in the from of DEC which is the in game currency of the game Splinterlands.
Few days ago to be precise 5 days ago I rented out all my Splinterlands card via Splex.gg - Activated for My Splinterlands Cards - Earning More DECs now - Check How? And here are the results for the rental income that my cards generated::
- Total cards value $66K+
- 5 days Rental Income
- 133K+ DEC earned; worth $75+
- Per day income $15+ [75/15]
- Fees paid 12K+ DEC
The income highlighted above is exclusive of the DEC paid. Earning $15+ daily by just renting out your cards isn't that good? I know if you look at the dollar value of the cards then this income may not sound that promising. But what if when I told you that these card value at one point in time was just less than $5K+. And over a period of time cards value accrued and the game making to the No.1 Blockchain game - more players joining further added to exploding the card assets value in general. So that was about it how my cards value grew and now giving me a decent income via rentals.
So there you go a player need not play and still they can earn from their assets. I used to play the game at one point of time. But considering there is a little time we have in a day and to make the best of my assets instead of them lying ideal, I decided to rent them out and earn a passive income stream for myself.
The plan moving forward is to grow my DEC HOLDing and reach to a point where I have accumulated 400K+ DECs. Then, I would be further investing in the game by buying in more "CHAOS LEGION" packs. So far have bought 1250 CL packs and want to get to a point of having 1500 CL packs bought. This is gonna be possible via rental income stream. I am not going to pump in extra cash here and these all CL pack purchases would be from the passive income streams.
The other option, that I would also be trying out would be buying in SPS. With Rift Watchers coming round the corner SPS is gonna a play an important role here. As Rift Watchers can only be bought with SPS. The price of each package will be $5 and at least in the presale phase VOUCHERS will be used, probably to obtain bonus packs or maybe discounts as well. We will need to wait for this once the Rift Watchers pack sale is out; which is targeted somewhere end of this month. Therefore my plan here would redirect some of my daily income stream from rental to buying in SPS and even some VOUCHER as well so as to get the maximum benefit from the upcoming Rift Watchers packs sale.
