I am not too much time in crypto as many other Hivians, but I can say that I have been in this world for about 4 years. But for sure nowadays I have a totally different perspective compared to when I entered. I am a geek. When I saw all these possibilities of us as individuals owning and being responsible for getting back for 100% of what we produce, it was something that made my eyes shine. All data produced in browsing or geo location, all the financial transactions, all data produced in social media, and more, wouldn't need to have any company between me and other people. These are just technologies that were adjusted by tokens, which we, as individuals, could be stakeholders in. But now I question myself is it real possible to be adapted worldwide.
In the last 4 years, I saw ups and downs of crypto and could make some conclusions about this crypto utopia. We are far off from having a mass adoption of crypto for many reasons. I can see external and internal factors of this world that helped to boycott the utopia. The first important point is that government adoption is slow. Some of them are adopting and even creating new cryptocurrencies to back their funds. But still it is very slow. The problem is not only with their adoption but with the regulation. In many countries crypto is still in a gray area where the citizens aren't sure if it is legal or illegal to buy and possess crypto.
But I can't blame the government only. The other reason is the path the crypto took instead of being a way where we as stakeholders participate somehow within the projects, but many people only use crypto in exchanges to buy and sell according to the market speculation. That is usually a natural thing. In stocks, we see the same trends, how many times have we not bought and sold a stock without being a participant and reader of the company? People buy Tesla stocks just because of the promising technology and sell it when Elon says some b***s**t. However, in crypto, we see that sometimes most of the holders are more concerned with seeing the market and selling and buying the crypto, only focusing on the profit.
With that in mind, people created the famous Meme coins. So now people don't only buy and sell tokens based on technologies. But just stocks with names and symbols, with nothing behind, just based in speculation. Doge coin, the most famous meme coin, got to the top of the list of cryptocurrencies just because Elon is a supporter. Even the Hive big movements in the beginning of the year, were a "meme coin behaviour". The price of the token had no news, nothing behind to support the price raise. I love Hive, but still like many other cryptocurrencies, we need more adoption
Crypto if mass adopted is a way of life philosophy. However, we are very far from that. But somehow here at Hive we have a bit of a taste of how this world happens. I already bought things with HBD, mostly silver from my SGS friends. Also my content gets some rewards back. Hive has also so many other possibilities and sometimes I think how pitty is the world not to use all of its potential. Probably I will die before crypto has all its usage mass adopted but I know that the world would become better with more freedom in our hearts.
Não estou há muito tempo em cripto como muitos outros Hivians, mas posso dizer que estou neste mundo há cerca de 4 anos. Mas com certeza hoje em dia tenho uma perspectiva totalmente diferente de quando entrei. Sou um geek. Quando vi todas essas possibilidades de nós, como indivíduos, possuirmos e sermos responsáveis por receber de volta 100% do que produzimos, foi algo que fez meus olhos brilharem. Todos os dados produzidos na navegação ou geolocalização, todas as transações financeiras, todos os dados produzidos nas mídias sociais e muito mais, não precisariam ter nenhuma empresa entre mim e outras pessoas. Essas são apenas tecnologias que foram ajustadas por tokens, nas quais nós, como indivíduos, poderíamos ser partes interessadas. Mas agora eu me questiono se é realmente possível ser adaptado em todo o mundo.
Nos últimos 4 anos, vi altos e baixos da criptografia e pude tirar algumas conclusões sobre essa utopia da criptografia. Estamos longe de ter uma adoção em massa da criptografia por muitos motivos. Posso ver fatores externos e internos deste mundo que ajudaram a boicotar a utopia. O primeiro ponto importante é que a adoção do governo é lenta. Alguns deles estão adotando e até mesmo criando novas criptomoedas para respaldar seus fundos. Mas ainda é muito lento. O problema não é apenas com sua adoção, mas com a regulamentação. Em muitos países, a criptomoeda ainda está em uma área cinzenta, onde os cidadãos não têm certeza se é legal ou ilegal comprar e possuir criptomoedas.
Mas não posso culpar apenas o governo. A outra razão é o caminho que a criptomoeda tomou em vez de ser uma maneira em que nós, como partes interessadas, participamos de alguma forma dentro dos projetos, mas muitas pessoas só usam criptomoedas em bolsas para comprar e vender de acordo com a especulação do mercado. Isso geralmente é algo natural. Em ações, vemos as mesmas tendências, quantas vezes não compramos e vendemos uma ação sem sermos participantes e leitores da empresa? As pessoas compram ações da Tesla apenas por causa da tecnologia promissora e as vendem quando Elon diz alguma b***s**t. No entanto, em criptomoedas, vemos que às vezes a maioria dos detentores está mais preocupada em ver o mercado e vender e comprar a criptomoeda, focando apenas no lucro.
Com isso em mente, as pessoas criaram as famosas moedas Meme. Então agora as pessoas não compram e vendem apenas tokens com base em tecnologias. Mas apenas ações com nomes e símbolos, sem nada por trás, apenas com base em especulação. A moeda Doge, a moeda meme mais famosa, chegou ao topo da lista de criptomoedas apenas porque Elon é um apoiador. Até mesmo os grandes movimentos do Hive no início do ano foram um "comportamento de moeda meme". O preço do token não tinha notícias, nada por trás para apoiar o aumento do preço. Eu amo o Hive, mas ainda assim, como muitas outras criptomoedas, precisamos de mais adoção
Criptomoeda se adotada em massa é uma filosofia de estilo de vida. No entanto, estamos muito longe disso. Mas de alguma forma aqui na Hive temos um gostinho de como esse mundo acontece. Já comprei coisas com HBD, principalmente prata dos meus amigos da SGS. Além disso, meu conteúdo recebe algumas recompensas de volta. A Hive também tem muitas outras possibilidades e às vezes penso como é uma pena o mundo não usar todo o seu potencial. Provavelmente morrerei antes que as criptomoedas tenham seu uso amplamente adotado, mas sei que o mundo se tornaria melhor com mais liberdade em nossos corações.
