I wander through this pause, lingering
In all the places that rescue
The curious gaze.
In a corner of the new and unknown,
A smile peeps out.
In the sunshine, let them dance
At the bottom of the brief landscape,
One after the other, curled up
Sea shapes that break
On rocks or submerged sands.
All is an arcane that supposes
Tendernesses foreign to my eyes.
I will never know how to decipher
These mysteries that the pause gives me.
Neither will you, silent reader,
You will never know of the madness
That in my mind dwells,
Of these instants detained in time.
I can only invite you to immerse yourself
In this pause with me,
To let your gaze wander
And the thought in free associations.
Perhaps then, for a moment,
Let us share the same raving
Of contemplating the eternal
In the ephemerality of this pause.
