I remember when we were still very young and we carried out almost all out activities by running. We would practically run to get things done, when our parents would send us on errands, I can recall them screaming and shouting at us to walk and not run so that we won't get hurt, but we never listen and sometimes get hurt in the process. I was just wondering today when I imagined myself walking around the neighborhood and taking my time, running did not even come on my mind and I am sure that the only thing that can make me run in this my grown age is when something bad is happening and we need to be safe.
I have come to realize that children have a sort of natural energy that allows them do virtual everything and not feel tired immediately. I went to a friend's house the other day and met her beautiful daughter, all the time I was there, this little girl jumped around the house playing with her teddy bear all alone. I envied her energy but I know it's something that happens to kids naturally, Running around allows them to release excess energy in a fun and active way. But they get to roll around a lot from the rough play during the day. Also, from research, I found out that the act of running helps children develop gross motor skills which brings about strength and agility. As they grow older, it becomes a way to test their physical abilities and push their limits to see how active they are.
As adults, it's essential to incorporate running or other cardiovascular exercises ones a while to improve our health. Doctors have giving us many reasons why we should run, jog or walk at least for some time of the day. For one, it has been know to strengthen the heart and improve blood circulation. This is true in the sense that when we sit at a spot for so long, the effects begin to take place like swollen legs, poor posture, weight gain and so on. Running and walking are great medications to reduce and relief stress as well. So it is advisable to walk around, jog around or run around.
In others words, all I am trying to say is not be static when it comes to your health matters as everything counts to live healthy and safe.
